Sir, in which video did you teach about Franks's rule? I am not able to find it.

Is elastic energy that you calculated is what is known as Franks's Rule?
@ShuvamNayak5 жыл бұрын
@subbu saravanan He did mention about Frank's rule. Also in some previous video on Burger Vector when discussed in brief about Frank's rule.

Do you know of a companion textbook to the course?
@ShuvamNayak4 жыл бұрын
@@connor8875course doesn't mention companion textbook. I generally don't follow any book as this video's are sufficient. You can try your luk with your College's recommended book

In this video I got confused with burgers vector direction because in earlier video it is opposite
@missionbeingmech95504 жыл бұрын
sir in previous video u discuss about constancy of burgers vector but here u change the direction of burgers vector in accordance with unit vector why??
@introductiontomaterialsscience4 жыл бұрын
I am only changing the unit tangent vector but not the Burgers vector.
@experTUTchem3 жыл бұрын
@@introductiontomaterialsscience sir u reversed the tangent vector,and then u also changed the burgers vector Can u explain why?
@introductiontomaterialsscience3 жыл бұрын
@@experTUTchem A given Burgers vector is associated with a chosen tangent vector. Tangent vector can be chosen in one of the two possible orientations. Resulting Burgers vectors will be opposite of each other.

The conservation of the Burgers vector at dislocation nodes is called Frank’s rule. Similar to the Kirchoff’s law describing that the total current flowing into a node is zero,
