This vlog is from our day out at Burghley House in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
We visited through out membership with Historic Houses.
Burghley is of course well known for its annual Horse Trials Event but has so much more to offer. The house is amazing with its Heaven and Hell room and staircase and the Sculpture Park and surprise garden features.
The parkland was largely designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 18th Century so come and enjoy our day out with us.

Hi Mark and Jules we love Burghley its so beautiful and such a lot to do there. The garden of surprises is fantastic isnt it, the water is welcome on such a warm day. Its really good if you go when kids are in school you can spend ages there. We have HH membership too its great value. Love the birthday t shirt Jules. We will always call the snail Charles in your honour in future 🐌. I always say those cows are a bit depressing too 😆 not the best sculpture in the garden. The house has to be one of our all time favourites every time we visit we are amazed by it all. We especially love the painted walls and ceilings so fabulous you always see something different every time you visit. What a great day out as you say its definitely something to revisit. Aww thank you for your lovely comment. We love Burghley and the Garden of Surprise but really love the Heaven and Hell room and staircase, the artwork is amazing! The Historic Houses membership is good value and we hope to bump into you both one day in our days out. Best wishes and take care Xx
