Great vids LeDude! Keep up the good work... I see you continued to add oil AFTER it started coming out of the oil level hole. Why? The engineers who designed the thing meant for the oil level to be at a certain point, so to me it looks like you are overfilling. I'm not saying what you are doing is incorrect, I just want to understand what I am seeing. Are you maybe compensating for a non-level floor? Having the bike not level is the only thing I can think of to cause a person to not fill according to the overflow hole.

Thanks for the video, I got probably between 100 to 200 ml more out than the specified 360 ml. is that an issue that requires attention?

I'm trying to figure out (and I know this video is years old. You probably don't even own a burgman anymore, but I did my oil changes and at the time of me refilling that transmission hole, I didn't have a long enough Syringe to insert the transmission oil in through the fill hole. So I filled the transmission oil through the (overflow) hole till it started spilling out that very same hole. Doesnt that method give you the exact same result? What's the point of filling from the top hole when it pours out the overflow hole? Why not just fill it from the overflow hole?

I wish you could be more detailed. Audio would fill in the critical details that me and others wonder about. BTW, the instructions disappear after a sp[lit second. No one can read that fast.

Just serviced my Burgman 400 using your instructions - spark plug, final drive oil and CVT filter (regular oil and filter change was self-explanatory). Thank you! Just bought a used executive and plan the same. Couple of questions - do valves ever actually go out of spec to the point where adjustment is needed? And also, where do I find a small 3/8 drive ratcheting torque wrench - Sears has nothing like it. Thanks!!!

@LeDude00 Thanks...the amount of disassembly and suggested frequency of the checks was starting to make me wish I had bought a Silverwing instead (owners report 100K miles with just oil and spark plug changes). But after riding both the Burgman 650 and the Silverwing my mind was made up. I'll check Harbor Freight. Thanks again!!

I checked oil level today after 5000km and constant refilling oil in engine. It was 300ml too much. That sucks...

I've just changed the transmission oil on my 2009 650 ( it's done 14000 it had 8000 on it when I got it ) this is my first trans oil change, when I dropped the oil I got just about 1ltr out !!!!!!!!! I don't know if it was over-filled. the engine oil level is always spot on so I don't think it migrating ! do you this could cause any long term problems ? the bike rides supurbly. About 600ml or so oil came out of my transmission drain hole when I changed the transmission oil today. Any problem?

oil can sometimes migrate from the engine to the transmission chamber, just refill it with the recommended amount.
