Good chat. Thanks for bringing up this heavy subject. I've always preferred cremation. Like you said traditional burials are expensive, not to mention all the chemicals they use to embalm the body and the fancy casket. It's all pretty pointless cuz, like, how often do people (in the States anyway) go visit the grave? And, embalming, don't think I'll care once I'm dead. I'd be "moving on" by then I think. In Japan they have a family cremation "tomb" so to speak. It looks like an obelisk. That saves space. It's cheaper too 🤔 Would be great to pay for a spot once & done. Then as needed the rest of the family would have a cheaper cost of just cremation. Not paying for a new "plot" every time. Oh, I've heard of natural burial places recently. The locations are usually in forests like a nature reserve. Very beautiful. They have professionals help with the ceremony. There's a GPS of the location to visit. I believe they allow only all natural items to be left with the deceased loved one (Grandma's quilt, that type of thing), flowers, etc. I still prefer cremation myself though.

Oh, I would love to leave my skull for my kids if they want it 😁💀 But I just can't get over the thought of the bugs they use to "clean" it 😳 I'll just have to suck it up 😅 huh? 😉

Have been VERY clear since a young age & as I grew I did research on burials, cremation & every thing in between. #1 Rules for me: NO EMBALMING! #3 No expensive container. Plain pine box with wooden handles no fancy hardware or wood finishing. #2 No memorial or funeral. #3 Burial NOT cremation & cheap vault liner! #4 Upright headstone If whoever does it screws it up I'll be back to haunt the living crap outta them.👍😁 My preference is a green burial but, no facilities in NH for that. We have one in ME but I don't like their policies. I was onboard with cremation until I found out after they rake you out of the retort they run you through a grinder.😬 No TY. Have heard good things about Water Cremation. Supposed better for the environment they say. Although still have to face the crusher.🙀 If you do get creamated you can also (for a price of course) turn your remains into gemstones or smooth river rocks type stones so that if numerous family members want a bit of their loved ones they can. Even turning the gemstones into jewelry. Each person is different so color of gemstone 💎 & rocks will be different for each individual. Like you when younger I wanted the grand tomb & mausoleum (still no embalming) . As I grew I was like chuck me in a hole (don't forget my pets remains too & don't tell the mortuary) & let me rot. No desire to make up a corpse to cover up the fact that it's dead & have my organs tossed around & that damn trocar put in my jugular vein! Grossness! 💖🤘
