Burial's music is the soundtrack for those 4 am - 5 am walks. Where street lights and the dark blue sky feel almost ethereal and magical, and the silence of the environment is almost claustrophobic.

The whole album is just in it's own league. So inventive yet so simple. All he did really was bring a heavy dark ambient vibe into the 2-step vibe. Imho this tune in particular is arguably the best garage/2-step track ever made.

Every time I hear this album I'm just like BRO WHO HURT YOU?? I've been trying to find a way to describe the feel of this album and the self-titled... for a long time I thought it was like "sad" / "depressing"-feeling but now they almost invoke the feeling of the aftermath of sadness if that makes sense? Like looking back on sadness with a matured mind.

Was on the night train back home from a trip to NYC with my girlfriend by my side. Was half asleep listening to this with my head on her shoulder as I watched the city lights turn from a sea of them, to less and less, til eventually all I saw was a small light glowing in a sea of dark before I fell asleep for the rest of the ride.

Always reminded me of a ride on the top bunk of a bus in London very early before your dreaded shift, melancholic tone with the bus throwing your body around. It isn't sadness for me but this small period of indifference where this static noise and distorted beats is so too familiar.

I had an very cinematic dream to this song. I wish I could remember all the details. I was alone in a spaceship and the AI system that controls the ship and I were in love. At the end of the dream there was a problem on the ship and I had to use the escape pod and leave. The AI couldn't follow me. The dream ended with my pod blasting off into space leaving the AI alone forever on the ship. The AI became a hologram person for a second and glitched like he was trying to follow me through the closed pod bay doors. It was so sad. That was like 10 years ago and I still feel awful about leaving him.
