Please help..... I have some soil that was supposed to be for fruit and veggies - it has a bad smell to it. I don't know what to do. I want to know if there is a way that I can still use it. What advice do you have for me ? I had it in some pots to grow straeberries and they necer grew. Then the bad smell came. So I wonder if its also safe because I hope there aren't parasites. The pots I used don't have drain holes in the bottom. I just don't want to waste it if I don't have to.

I can relate to the dirty my Jonathan is going on 28 this year and still doesn't do the dirty thing. If you do perhaps get him to participate it's a big personal clean up afterwards. As far as the veggie eating it has improved in leaps and bounds over the years but there are still a few no go areas. So hang in there all you blessed ladies things do improve and they enrich your life and make you more compassionate towards others. The good Lord knows who to bless with his special angels.

Hi Mark, I'm a children's entertainer based in Scotland. Since Covid and lockdown, I've had no work, my business died literally overnight, as did my 2nd business (my backup!) of being a pub DJ. Peter Aubery I cannot express how happy it makes me to see people discovering how rewarding growing your own food can be! Lockdown was actually a blessing for us because for the first time em several years I had time to really get back to gardening. Hi Mark, just a HUGE thanks from me for your informative, funny and inspirational channel. I have just started veggie gardening this year, having moved to the country and a 1000m square block. At 67 you could say better late than never.... and loving it! The Raised veggie beds, built from treated pine to prevent termites, were built by my husband and finished in April this year. We filled the bottoms with old wood, followed with compost and soil mix. I am so proud and happy with my little crop of leafy greens, peas beans, carrots, onion, garlic, cabbages and herbs. Aussie tradition was thrown to the wind by placing the beds in the front garden to receive maximum northern sun. It has worked a treat and even the neighbours have given their approval. The verge will be planted with native seedling next week, followed by a citrus patch, then an orchard of miniature fruit trees down the back. Maybe chooks one day. Hubby put in a potting bench just like yours, and a massive worm farm built from a long ways section of a large storage hot water system. Thrilled doesn’t begin to describe how I feel. The farm works really well and is fertilising all my soil, which is now teeming with earth worms after just a few months. Well that is my little success story, thanks to your inspiration. Good on ya mate. Keep those videos coming please!!

I've only really started gardening year before last. I'm 35 now. I've helped my grandpa before when I was a kid, but back then, I couldn't handle being outside in the heat for long. So most of the time I just sat in the air conditioned pickup. I started gardening because my son had an assembly at school and they started some plants from seeds. I asked him if he wanted me to show him how to garden. Kids being kids, he didn't think that this 'old man' could do it. Those were his words. I made him eat those words. I told him to stick around, he may learn a thing or two from this 'old man'. On a side note, it's megabloom central at my house on my beefsteak tomato plants

Yes sir, Spirit flutes are the soil of nature's music for me. I have owned my first spirit flute since I was 12 I play it all the time when I pray or meditate in the woods or in my garden. it is my release and my door to the good spirits and blessing. I have Cherokee/Apache native blood in my family as well as Scottish/irish. The old native instruments mean alot to me as I own spirit flutes, bagpipes, drums, as well as drums and flutes I have crafted my self. it is an amazing thing to play and listen to. Nature/mother earth is an amazing thing and I think more people should understand her and be more in touch with here. Sorry if my punctuation is off

Wonderful..I have a native flute I've been trying to learn to play for years so every now and then I pull it out to practice, my dogs just gave me the stink eye when they heard you play, you and I play exactly alike...lol

I can remember as a kid going out in the woods with my grandmother looking for dead trees and stumps . We would dig out all the black gold as she called from the rotting wood . She would then mix it with potting soil and hermiculite the little white balls and then she would use it in all her potted plants . They would grow like crazy she had a green thumb so green it was black lol . This video reminded me of those moments when the wood breaks all the way down it makes an incredible soil additive .

I started at 36. Before hand I Lived a hard party life. I Was mowing one day and all of a sudden my life changed. I wanted to spend more time at home and in my backyard. Absolutly adore your videos! I'm located in Massachusetts, USA - and I 've just started my veggie garden this year. We went from two 4ftx8ft beds to now a full size garden with a 4ft fence (dealing with a groundhog problem, ugh) Picked my first cherry tomatoes, yellow squash and cucumbers this year. Unfortunatly with the small animals they grabbed all my lettuce, but trying to grow some more before the season is over in October! This higher bedding is a good idea. It's great for people with kneeling problems ..= has bad hip ..But this idea could bring my garden to a place where i can reach it..I currently have beds but only one cinder block high ...thanks a lot for sharing !
