Wow, you have explained meaningful business scenarios with multiple conditions so well. I was expecting a little more that was a combination of (Ifs with OR/AND combo). Do you have any videos where you used ifs/ifs with OR and AND combinations? thanks

how would i use if function to check the first 3 letters/numbers match not the whole number IE E11-2K E12-2K, i only what to see if E11 and E12 match

You can use the LEFT command. =LEFT(A2,3) extracts the first 3 characters in cell A2.
