It is really easy to take that wheel off, I had it off for over a year. I put it back on because it helps to hold the bike and trailer up, especially when you apply the trailer brake.

Well done video. I tried using a trailer, and I found it boring for the dog and I. I ended up going with a sidecar, and Calypso likes it far better than the trailers. She's right there by my side instead of being pulled from behind.

I have a Great Pyr who is about 80 and the trailers are limited... been eyeing this one just hard to put down so much money at once. I still want to think about it, but i really appreciate the thought and care you put into this review! And your Husky is beautiful!

For a big dog, I would recommend using a sidecar, Mine is rated for 150 lb, and there's plenty of room for a big dog. I tried using a trailer, and I found it boring, and so did Calypso.

To be honest with you I am sure it will but I did not want to take a chance since with the type of trip we were doing and all the rough roads. Plus my dog weighs over 100 lbs she is 145 and likes to ride with all of her weight up front

@@theboudreauxpack3295 I dont know if you figured it out but I have been using burley trailers for 8 years now, bought the ranger when it first came out. I have had no issues at all with tailwagon or barkranger. Very sturdy.

Great vid! What would be another way to reinforce the floor for the non welding skilled. And also, I will be riding by the ocean, am afraid of rust.
@teamultimateexposurewillia7310 Жыл бұрын
Well it is aluminum so you don’t have to worry about rust. Another way is get a piece use a grinder cut to fit and self taping screws will do the same thing. But if you take it to a welder it should not cost more then 40.00

Would you share your pups measurements? Height, length, weight (I think you said 100). I thought my dog would be a little too big for this, but seeing yours is giving me hope. Have you had any issues with the fabric rubbing on the wheels if she leans/lays down?
@teamultimateexposurewillia73102 жыл бұрын
Good morning Whitney. Thanks for reaching out. So Aurora our pup is actually 115 lbs we said 100 because we did not want Burley to see the video and void the warranty on it if we had any problems. As for height she is 34 inches tall and that was from ground to her back not top of head and then the length 42 inches. And she loves riding in it. She will even lay down inside when she curls up into a ball. As for any problems none at all. If you see the other 4 videos of the first part of this trip you can see we took this trailer down some very bad roads and very bad weather and not one problem we’ve had with it. The only thing that I would tell you to do is after every ride if you are in very dirty condition’s is to pull the wheels off and put a little lube on them so they stay moving great. If you do buy one please use the link because we get a little bit from every burley sold. Thank you if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out. One more thing if your dog likes to ride up front like ours does I would also recommend putting the extra bar in under the floor. Take it to Amy shop that welds aluminum and it will cost around 30$ . Thanks again and have a great Sunday Link for trailer 👇 bit.ly/3BKdvNM

@@teamultimateexposurewillia7310 Thanks for the quick reply! I did watch all your videos on that trip (including your updated review, super helpful). For the length is that including her head or just neck to tail? Ellie is 100 pounds, but only 30 inches tall, but nearly 50 inches long if I do head to base of tail, I have a hard time believing she's longer than Aurora. Thanks so much for the review, I will definitely use your link if I decide to buy it. My hats off to you and your guys trip, it looked incredible (I don't think I would have survived the weather).

hi. I was just looking at this for my dog and wondering how it does rougher roads, gravel and dirt? also how is the hitch? is this easy to attach to a mountain or gravel bike with thru axles? thanks and good luck!
@teamultimateexposurewillia73102 жыл бұрын
Well we are in Whitehorse now and so we’ve put about 1200 miles on it. We went from Prudhoe Bay all the way here and it has done very well. The hitch is easy but if you have a through axel you will have to order a different one on burleys website. We are using them with the Checkpoint SL7 full carbon . Also our dog is a little over 100 lbs and no issues. If you know about the Dalton road it is very rough so I would say you would be good with it

So Ron we are almost to Vancouver now with this trailer and we are going to do a updated review on it. Just to let you know the trailer has held up very well. When we did this video we had just finished up Prudhoe Bay to Fairbanks. So about 500 miles. It went through snow, sleet and rain every day. Since we’ve left there we’ve had a lot of the same and we are very happy to say that the Velcro and zippers two of the things we were very worried about well they are still working. The floor is still solid and no issue. The only thing is I would still weld in the bar at the bottom like we did if you have a very large dog and it likes to sit all the way forward. . Hope this helps Ron and again we will be putting up a new video about this trailer in the next couple of days once we get to the border
