I'm not surprised about the diamond necklace at all. Diamonds are very common gemstones, in fact they have warehouses full of them, only the vvvs and colored ones are really worth anything but in necklaces like that one they can put a heavily included specimen in and then say it's a diamond necklace and because of all the hype around the word diamond and how much money the industry spends to make sure that we believe that diamond equals the best you can get they can drive up the price and make one of the most common gemstones seem special.

Do you donate to domestic violence women's shelters. I think a lot of the toys and clothing/shoes could be donated to these shelters. They have nothing. I know you guys do donate, but I am relatively new to the channel.

Josh and Nicole, When I see you pulling socks, shoes, blankets, clothes (snot h we video) and personal care products out of the dumpsters, all I can think about are the homeless people, the people in shelters, and the abused people (mostly women) who had to leave their homes quickly often with children and no belongings. As Nicole went through the boxes I saw a warm hat. So much that could be donated. Does it tug at your heartstrings to see so many items in perfect or near perfect condition just tossed away, instead of being put in donation bins?

We have the same store up here in Northern Canada but they keep throwing a way 1 shoe of really high end brand new shoes or 2 rights or 2 lefts. I really wish someone would tell me why on earth this keeps ending up in the garbage. Are they mistakes from the factory? Displays? or thrown out deliberately that way so people can't use them? Also The first pair of Cole Haan shoes are usually well over $100 even at that discount store.

Hi Carol Bei, I am an employee at Burlington Coat Factory in California and to answer your question about why items like these are found in the trash is becuase most likely those are returns. Becuase most things that we get returned ussualy have the box damaged , dirty, and or missing parts ; therefore, we must follow a protocol and discard the item away since the condition of the item has been altered. Thats why items end inter trash.

Hi Gerardo I appreciate your response. I am a picker up in Northern Canada and I am wondering why the chain from Marshalls, Homegoods and i forgot their other affiliates throw away a huge bag of single high end shoes such as "Frye", "Rockport" and the like. I have a huge pile of single very expensive leather shoes (only one shoe each) that i have no idea what to do with. Wondering why they throw out only 1 shoe at a time? (or occassionally 2 rights or 2 lefts).

I used to work in retail and we would mark shoes out of stock as policy through our system. The policy is to save one shoe and throw out the other. The saved shoe has to be approved to throw out by district manager and to prove we are adhering to policy. If the shoes or whatever items were worn or used we couldnt resell them bc it marks down the quality. Would you want to buy used items in a store other than a thrift store? Probably not.
