Jennifer I’m thrilled with your channel! Yes I visit Burlington area whenever I can. Recent stay at, Hilton Lake Champlain. The stay fabulous. Fifth floor view of Lake Champlain framed in background by Adirondack Mtns. We usually go there via the Grand Isle Ferry out of South Hero area. Quick 30 min drive. The car ferry takes 10 min to get to Plattsburgh NY. It runs 24hrs 365 days yr. Head to Lake Placid area, Saratofa Springs or over to Montreal. A really beautiful corner of the country.

Wow! I never knew that.. sounds like a great trip! I have never been to lake placid it’s on my bucket list. So many places so little time! Your stay at Burlington sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing that with me 😊👍

Just the escapism I was looking for. A refreshing change of scenery on this cold raining day that's kept me from going out and filming today. Thanks so much for taking the time to walk, film, and edit this video. I really appreciate it!

Thanks for covering Burlington! I own a small apartment building one block off Lake Champlain - you drive right past it during the video. Vermont is awesome and Burlington is amazing. Sadly (politics aside), it's adopting lots of traits of larger cities with homeless and panhandling and stuff I haven't seen in years (lived in Texas for the past 20). Hopefully we can get back our mojo soon. Love Burlington, it's my hometown and I'm back living in the area 50% of the time now (South Burlington). Keep showing the best of Vermont. It's a great place to visit and a great place to live.

Spot on Dave. I’m born and raised there until I joined the service in 97. Never looked back and from what I’ve heard from my HS buddies, it has gotten flooded with out of stater progressive types who made it their life’s plan to make Burlington their lil progressive heaven. I do blame the locals for letting that happen as well. We haven’t ran for much local service stuff over the years and they filled that shoe. School board, running for ward seats etc. we let them move in and change the identity. And you mentioned getting the mojo back, another good point. Burlington still has most of the “feel” as prior, but the ppl and politics has taken a 180 and now seldom see Burlington in the top tier rankings as it used to be. I graduated BHS in 94. Been living in the SE (AL, LA) the last 20 as well. Love it for the most part, never really visited TX though.

Another thing, back in the day king street was kinda a shithole, but not bad. Recently when I visited, all the hotels were booked or waaaaaaaaay over priced. Found an Airbnb on ,owner king about a half block up from the shanty. I was like wth, this shit was never here back in the day hahahahaha. I just feel for the tenets trying to rent with all the Airbnb houses I’ve seen. End rant lol, now going to drink up some community coffee now

It’s beautiful! Burlington is such a neat find too because it’s so historic yet has the magesric lake sorta feels like Boston but on a much smaller scale. Cool to walk around a explore!

Always fascinated with the BTV area. I have been to all 50 states, and flown airlines into 48 (blessed airline job :) ) Delaware which is really sporadic and Vermont the two missed. Will take VT off list next Tuesday. Although into Rutland for a few hours then overnight back in Boston. Hopefully weather will be like this!

The state of Vermont is 94% white and 100% SCARY cold. One winter was enough for me. Great in the Springtime.

It's pretty but if you have lived anywhere else, it isn't desirable. High cost of living, infrastructure is terrible etc

And Vermont has the most cloudy days shy of Seattle WA.

As a visitor I enjoy the slower pace. In CT where I live everyone moves so much quicker. It feels like everyone is late for something all of the time lol I have only been to Vermont in early March and late November. Before and after ski seasons. Sure it prob gets busier during the winter months too
