The torqeedo boat drives I think are worth the money even tho not cheap I think its priced well and the quality of all the components are great. I rarely hear complaints or people saying they broke theres.

Other than battery limitations and spot lock I dont know why PDL kayaks are a thing at this point. Once batteries are able to operate for days a torqeedo with foot peg steering will make everything really obsolete.

Weight, pond hopping, pressured water, emergency option… it yeah motors are legit too!

@@paulglass7268 A crescent with a torqeedo 1103ac would be much better for pond hopping and shallow waters as it would be a much lighter setup than any PDL

Cost and weight. Batteries are heavy, for now. Pedals will never go away, but will get better, so will motors

@@aaanglers Cost and weight is working against pedal drives as they work with the heaviest most expensive kayaks. Batteries are getting lighter and smaller. The pedal drive becomes obsolete in the future as they suck in most rivers and only work well in deep open water where motors will just work better. As batteries become more efficient pedal drives will slowly fade.
