The ballooners when they die are terrifying. Imagine being a peasant in Renaissance Italy returning home after getting payed for farming and you see a corpse of an inventor floating in the sky with a balloon, you get scared and don't know what a balloon is cause they weren't ivented yet so you run into a nearby church and tell the saint that there's a flying demon in the town square and the saint says you should consume poisonous plants to prevent those demons in the sky.
