Just to tell you a bit, Alexander Hamilton, the husband of the woman in the animatic, had an affair with a woman named Maria Reynolds. Elizabeth Hamilton, otherwise known as Eliza, found out after a trip to see her father. (Alexander did not go with her) Eliza (pronounced as Ah-lie-za) and Alexander had more than 2 children at the time, but in the show there is only Philip and Angie (or angelica, who was named after Eliza's sister, Angelica) and Philip was named after Eliza's father. Alexander published something which in the musical was called The Reynolds Phamphlet, which told about the affair. Alexander had been blackmailed into paying James Reynolds(the husband of Maria Reynolds) money, or else he would tell everyone about the affair. Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Aaron Burr later found out about him paying James Reynolds money, but they weren't aware of why. They thought he was embezzeling funds. To prove he was not, he published The Reynolds Pamphlet, to tell why he was paying James Reynolds. Which is how Eliza and everyone else found out about the affair. He pretty much ruined his own life. Wow, that was a lot of writing. I'm done though.

Interesting tidbit. The Reynolds Pamphlet was actually a real thing. It's crazy the reason Alexander Hamilton outed himself was because of his public image. He would rather have been known as a scoundrel who cheated on his wife than a corrupt official of government. Which is really telling of the era this story takes place. That's why in the song Eliza says "In clearing your name, you have ruined our lives." It's a fantastic musical. I suggest if anyones interested, just listen to the Original Cast soundtrack. The entire show is one giant musical, so you won't really miss anything. The soundtrack covers like 97 percent of the dialogue/music from the actual show. It's incredible. It gives a lot more context to this song.

Every time i listen to this song it makes me so sad! I've been a hardcore hamilton fan for a year now and even though I know every word to this song and have listened to it several times I still get sad and mad at Alexander Hamilton for cheating on Eliza with a girl named Maria. (Eliza was married to Alexander and she went on a trip and alexander met Maria and they had an affair then Eliza found out) xD Love the video Christene! EDIT: Since you say your already in love I recommend listening to the Hamilton Album. ITS SO GOOD! At the end of the album you will be asking yourself why you are crying over a founding father.

Just to clear some things up, This is from a musical called Hamilton. If you didn't know it's about the founding father Alexander Hamilton. Alexander married a women named Elizabeth Schuyler. While Eliza, Phillip(Alexander and Eliza's son) and Angelica ( Eliza's sister) went on vacation to their dads house uptown, Alexander had an affair with a women named Mira Reynolds. Yes, they are related! This is an animatic based off one of the songs. Or, the cast recording of the song. And I would highly, HIGHLY recommend it! It is a great retelling of the life of Alexander Hamilton in a musical with a variety of different music styles we hear today, like rap, hip hop etc. And I'm really happy you covered Galactibun's animatic of one of the songs. Yeah this is from Hamilton, but to understand the story more, you need to listen to the songs. I would recommend watching the videos in this order (the animatics that GalactiBun made), Helpless, Satisfied, Take a Break, Burn, then Congratulations. There is also an animatic that they also did for Non Stop which is really good as well

Galactibun has a great concept wth the heart in their mouths. In Helpless, Eliza has a heart in her mouth. In Burn, Eliza's heart is broken. Also, your voice is beautiful!
