As a Nigerian, I can boldly say that Trevor is the biggest African export when it comes to shows. Was so proud to be from this continent when I watched him addressing the US President and all those VIPs present. That was massive. At the same time he is giving it back to Africa. Reason why he features people like Burna, he knows the ripple effect. Those watching his shows worldwide will start looking at what is coming from Africa. The most beautiful part is the connection between the two brothers, Trevor understood everything Burna said and didn't say, reason why he looks so free, it's like two buddies from the same neighborhood having a regular chat, it doesn't look like a show. Thank you Trevor.

With respect, downplaying success a bit in conversations is a “cultural nuance” often used to deflect seeming like a “braggart”. This nuance is practiced in many cultures in Africa, Asia and elsewhere. Also seen in Islamic cultures where a person may answer “praise” by saying “alhamdolillah”. This is not to downplay Nigerian culture at all-it is just a distinction. Big up to Burna Boy and other “Afropop” artists.

It's refreshing to see a talented artist that isn't full of himself or trying to portray a life that is obviously something from the "How to be a gangsta in the hood" players memoir book. May happiness fill your life sir.

Nigeria artiste and most African artiste in general don’t come off that way, not like they’re not gangsters but what’s the need showing it when the real ones knows who I am already
@MadDragon752 жыл бұрын
@@TheNaijaGosiper I actually like gangsta rap, It's one of my favorite genres from my teenage years. I was just thinking that we already have enough of them. I mean everyone wanted to be a hip hop artist and we know who all the top artists were in the 90's an now I hear artists that have been producing for years that are new to me. The house of hip-hop is too full. 😉

He’s so spot on when he says all Africans are timid in their responses cause this is how I’ve experienced Africans especially when they’re in the West … Nigerians though are quite different which I can relate to as a Jamaican cause “timid” is not an adjective to describe us lol 🇯🇲 Love to all my African people on the continent and in the diaspora ❤.
