Him dissing the band is also dismissing the culture. I'm sorry to say it. Judging by what Jamaican culture has become - who feels that they need to respect it when its looking like man cant even respect themselves and the Island they beling to? We've allowed our ting to be watered down and clowned out who gonna respect that?

@@dondanny2512 what I’m saying is true check burna boy progression he even used to call Himself “don gorgon” and “burna rankin” The name of the game is to take as much as possible without crediting Jamaica. Dudes whole singing cadence is tinged in patois.

Burna boy lifted his whole style from Jamaicans There is no comparison between reggae and afrobeats when they copied dancehall, ragga and reggae a lot of their success is down to demographics change Most don’t deserve it they copy and try to pass it off as original

Steel pulse is a global, Grammy winning, played at White House......they need no one to prop them up. They are authentic and icons all by themselves. And their history is they are humble UNPROBLEMATIC BAND, ALWAYS
@uchenna1272 ай бұрын
Burna Boy is also a Grammy winner, but who cares about that. The African awards show is more important. 70% of Burna boys money and success comes from Nigeria.

@@uchenna127 WELL I care about others showing respect to others, whoever they may be , artist, street cleaner or other wise. Kudos to th e artiste who ar e awarded Grammy, a global r ecognition. The likes of Stell Pulse, also Burna Boy. Well that's Burna's and his management team perogative whether it's Nigeria or his live nation promoters supply the bulk of his cash. Frankly that's not our business. Yes, he is an A list artist who needs to respect people, no argument.

@@rosemiller1448 I'm just making things clear, that Burna Boy is a part of the Nigerian music industry. That's something people forget. They act like he's a Western artists or is based out of the West, when in fact, he lives in Nigeria and makes his music for the Nigerian audience.
@rosemiller14482 ай бұрын
@@uchenna127 AM keenly aware that Damini Ogulu is Nigerian , lives in Lekki....makes Afrobeats Music and global entertainer. He also lives in England , but returns to Lagos frequently, to his kindred friends. And from the looks of it Burna seems to be happier with the western world than Nigerians, as he, himself complains about his Nigerian people not accepting him etc. Why there's always a controversey and contention when he's to do a show in Nigeria, turning up late, equipment not capeable to do his band justice...and a whole lot of griping both from Burna and Nigerian fans. So I don't need to be reminded of who he is, where he's from, it's patently clear that he makes a ton of money due to his success outside Nigeria....especially Europe. And he does turn up on time for them, and no yelling and back and frothing. It's YOYR Nigerian home problem.....I have no interest. As most of you seems pretty contentious and chaotic. I do know Afrobeats genre is slapping globally and Burna is the poster boy for Afrobeats. He is on point, with his performance. You can all work out your maths who pays him more etc. WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN THAT.
@uchenna1272 ай бұрын
@@rosemiller1448 Is that another one of your digs? Where exactly does he live in London? Burna complains about Nigeria like ALL Nigerians do, because we want better for our home country, not because we prefer foreigners or foreign lands. I mean, we're talking about an artist that sings in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa (along with pigeon English), yet you have the guile to say he prefers foreigners to his own. Wouldn't that reality reflect in his work? Burna is loved in Nigeria, obviously. His career couldn't survive, endure without Nigeria. That's why I think it's pointless, these constant accusations. Because, as long as he's in good standing with his people, he's fine.

Just as how we like a Burna and his on point performance . He never disappoints. But this behaviour is dark and mean. He needs to learn self respect, no arguement.

Burna boy had nothing to do with what happened. The security team did what they did, on their own accord.

We are all black people. Steel pulse are elders, they are legends and they are unproblematic. To take this to another level, go purchase chain link and chain link off Steel Pulse.....burna evidently didn't personally do this, but he approved it. He and his team are rude, and grossly disrespectful. Steel pulse are descendants from Jamaica...... Burna Boy seems to love Jamaica and has his fans and friends here. So sense should prevail......Burna needs a reality check. His mother who is an astute lady should guide him against this repeat arrogant diva behaviour. He's a great Afrobeats entertainer......but what happen to common sense to tell you, you don't do that......to people. For David Hinds to write this means it is horrible , gross, crass and disrespectful what was done to them.
