大変長らくお待たせしました。火事で焼けてしまったギターの修復の後編です。
前回の動画では、炭化による収縮面の補修等の木工作業を行い、ギターとしての大まかな形を取り戻しました。そして、今回は再び音を奏でるに至るまでの工程をまとめております。最後まで気の抜けない作業の数々、是非お楽しみください。
また、今回の動画には演奏者にプロギタリスト 二宮 楽様をお迎えし、この蘇った名器、YAMAHA L-55を実際に演奏して頂きました！火事という悲劇を生き残ったギターの奏でる生音を素敵な音楽を通してご堪能ください。

音楽デザイナー・作曲家・ギタリスト。
自身がプロデュースや作曲、演奏、ミックスエンジニアとして関わったKZbin動画の総再生は4000万回以上を記録している。
オランダ・ロッテルダム音楽院留学後、上京。夏木マリ氏のツアーギタリスト、アルバム曲の作曲を担当。その後、自身の育ったルーツの影響もあり、星野リゾート・星のや富士やTokyo Classic Campなど、グランピング施設の音楽プロデュースを担当し、現地での演奏も担当している。
2021年6月にはNHK Eテレ　ビットワールドの校歌の共同作曲、アレンジ・トラックメイクも担当。

I hope this series helps to reduce the general impression of "reduce" quality from Asian builders. I do understand there can be quality control issues, but they are in every factory around the world if you look hard enough for it. But this series is just one example of one Luthier's skills and dedication to the craft. Super happy you could revive that L-55. Thanks for sharing!

It was well worth the wait for achieving such a beautiful end result, but looking at it no one will ever imagine that this was a burnt instrument I believe that it should have retained somewhere a piece of it's history along the lines of Kintsugi but for wood, it would enhance it's character.

I bring more old Yamys back to life. These guitars often have a MUCH better second life than its first. Many are closet, basement and flea market finds that have been ignored their entire life. I do very well with these old 70s-80's FGs. Now, I don't know if it was foresight, luck or a lucky mistake, but whoever at early Yamaha that had the smarts to design the aggressive amount of compensation (saddle angle) all Yamys have in the bridge was simply brilliant. While not a bad thing when the guitar was new, this aggressive angle IS what give the older Yamys excellent intonation as the tops belly with age IMHO. If the neck angle is reasonable and there's enough bridge and saddle to be taken down to get decent action after the any top belly is cured (usually with a JLD Bridge Truss), the guitar will come back to a much improved glory. Who says laminate guitars don't age well tonally.... That's utter BS! Thank you Yamaha for this.

Repair of the of the headstock, especially the back, was truly amazing. I bought a banjo that was in a fire. I sold it to a friend who had it repaired. I tell him he’s the first to have a torrified wood instrument.

I had an LA-8 Yamaha and I now have an A.R.E. LL-16 Yamaha. As a guitarist of over 30 years and owning Taylors, Gibsons, Seagulls, Normans, Fenders, etc I can say there is no better luthier. Yamaha L-series guitars are insanely well crafted and much lower price. Their highs are intense and ring strong, but the depth is powerful as well. Expensive guitars almost sound muzzled. Suffocated sound. It always misses the highs.

@@ogsworks さん いやいや、本当に凄いです。 自分も造形、造作、リペア的な携わる仕事してます。 が、 楽器は見た目だけ綺麗に復活すれば、良い物じゃないのは、楽器の素人でも想像に難く無いです。 オーナーさんですか？、、 修理復活したギターを、時に繊細に時に激しく、過保護になる事無く、 引き倒してる姿と音が、 信頼できる、 ギターとして、楽器として、蘇ってる事を雄弁に物語ってますよね！ ナットの材やペグやハンダや配線材、一つ変えただけで音が変わってしまうくらいギターって繊細な楽器なのに、、 元ので音は知り得ませんが、 オーナーさんらしい方の弾き倒してる姿が全ての回答でありましょう。 リペア技術も、音も素晴らしいです！
