Burney Falls Northern California: Hiking to the Waterfall
Burney Falls is an amazing waterfall in northern California. Located in McArthur Burney Falls State Park about 5 miles from the small town of Burney California. There are many waterfalls in norcal but Burney falls is one of the best. It was even called the “Eight Wonder of the World” by president Teddy Rosevelt.
The Burney Falls hike is very easy. Most of the trail is paved with stairs and railing. Also it is only about 0.3 miles from the parking lot so it only takes a coupe of minutes. It is the perfect adventure for the day or if you want to stay the weekend Burney Falls Campground is the perfect spot. They have 128 campsites and even cabins to rent.

@@loganromero5089 It was only a short drive for us so we just went for the day. But there is camping and cabins at the falls and If you drive about a half hour there are a ton of hotels in Redding CA. I hope you have fun!

We just went there on Tuesday, 3/30/21. Absolutely gorgeous! The most beautiful waterfall I’ve ever seen. Took tons of pics, few people, and the loop trail easy and well marked.

You can't miss turning left at HWY 89 because their is a stop-sign with flashing lights, slow-down bumps, and all kinds of things. It's like a "mega" stop sign.

I remember reading that swimming is discouraged, but I don't know for sure. The water was very cold and there were some people in the water when we visited. I will have to find out for sure the next time I visit :)
