Was cool to watch you guys slowly figure out what to fish up there. Saddles Small rock islands, rocky points, and high reefs are gold up there. Biggest thing is getting away from the more popular areas. Up the big narrows and around the grassy narrows is some incredible fishing, so is Morrison to Nestor falls area

You guys are better men than I. I just can’t make that drive, pound the water, and camp. I need a hot shower and a comfortable bed. I have now just restricted my Muskie trip to indiana from Illinois where I pretty much know every inch of the lake and stay at the cabin on the lake. 🎣. Tight lines guys and good luck this season!

Minimum keeping size for Muskies on Lake of the Woods in 54 inches. At that size, the meat is tough and almost inedible. They are an endangered species, best suited for catch and release. For the uninformed, expect endless casting and very few bites. :) Muskies are incredible fish, high level predators and not to be underestimated. Try floating lures that move like wounded mice or frogs. :) Propellers work well.

You dirty dogs, I haven't been there since 93 when I got a break from the Corp. I prefer the walleye because I like to eat, but the big girls are there! Glad you got the chance! Great video as usual, thanks

Great video. A true story of what Musky fishing is all about. Nice job with the editing too. I can appreciate all the work that goes into it especially when there isn't much action on consecutive days.

This video shows how important a perfectly executed figure 8 is. When 75% of the Muskies bite in the 8 on LOTW. The execution is critical and that was some very poor execution lol such tight turns and no hang time. Way to stick with it and put a nice one in the boat.

Good on you for grinding it out. Too many waypoint fisherman out there that just don't "get it".... I fished that smoky day and had success in the afternoon as well in different area of the lake. Cool to see the windows occur.

What part of LOTW were you on? I’ve spent a great deal of time on the northwest portion of that lake, world class Muskie lake. Between LOTW and Eagle Lake, I’ve see my fair share of giants. Good video man! Keep it up.

What’s wrong with showing the pike catches. I love both fish. I live in Alaska and I’m originally from the Midwest. I’m dying to go fish for musky. The biggest pike so for here is 43” not a Musky , but I will take it. I’ve got the burn to go. Keep the videos coming.

Wish we could've kept all the catches, including the pike, in this video, but unfortunately we had to edit them out to keep the video length down. Hope you get a chance to get out musky fishing in the very near future! Nice catch with that 43" pike! Thats awesome! Thanks for watching! We appreciate it!

Is there good musky fishing on the American side of the lake? I never hear of people fishing muskies on the American side, I know it's kind of a dumb question but I've always been curious if you could do a trip without having to cross the border into Canada
