Didn't stop me from respecing in classic. In TBC we get a lot more raw gold which means gold will be less valuable and the respec cost will also be less of an issue. I am all for dual specs brining 2 PvE specs to raids and respecing for PvP would be awesome.

I wanna sell t shirts and for every 10000 t-shirts I sell I will tally one extra minute on to a gorilla boxing event with no rounds and no refs, and I will be the guy with 0 training fighting the gorilla in just enough armor to live but not enough to live well if it lasts a while. The real reason to buy up all the shirts is that I am not allowed to do anything to hurt the gorilla, the only move I am allowed is that I can poke it in the nose and say "no" really loudly. No medical interference till the timers done, except to throw down jugs of water and the gorilla can contest me for them no breaks. We need to have an exclusive Mount Dungeon, where the bosses drop equipment which can upgrade our Mount speed by using saddles/spurs/reins, etc. You get the idea! Think of how the Pet Dungeons worked, but with enemies which attack the player's select Mount which could have its' own background, mount species/family, special abilities, and even combine their "Ultimate" attacks with other player's mounts to unleash Duel and Triple Ultimates! It could be like a Boss Rush mode with waves like Missions sort of with Followers, but instead we get to activate the combo of skills like a DDR - Dance Dance Revolution style rhythm game, push up/down/left/right to input the combo remotely or something. I think it could save Shadowlands. Maybe the Mounts can also have their own Covenant Signature "Ultimates" and Mount Family (think of the old UI for Hunter pet) Skill Trees.

Asmond even mentioned it towards the end of the video that people should be able to transfer their accomplishments over. Plus this only make sense because people carry everything over when new expansion release anyways so why shouldn't it apply in this situation. Yeah I understand the market prices are going to be scuffed on valuable items, but it's also a way to make money if you get your hands on them too. As much as a lot of people would like some sort of a reset button (fresh server) it won't happen at least for now. Don't let that change your mind about playing. Have fun, enjoy the leveling.

I think dual spec would be a really good thing for casual player. It will probably help for a more decent pvp experience. Im planning to warrior tank in tbc and play a warlock. Im more of a casual player and wont have the tine to farm gold to respect my 2 character everytime i wont to pvp with them. If we have dual spec im sure everyone will win. More people in bg and probably more people in pve. Probably the hardcore player wont agree but i think the majority of tbc player will be more casual then real hardcore. I might be wrong but i think its like that now this days. Really good video by the way asmon!

Seal of the Martyr was the Alliance version of Seal of Blood introduced in Wrath of the Lich King Seal of Vengeance was the Alliance only seal that put a stacking dot up to 5 stacks on the enemy, it outdamaged Seal of the Righteous so tank Paladins used it but not by a ton so Horde Prot Pallies still used Seal of the Righteous as their go to damage seal to similar effect. Seal of Corruption was the Horde's variation on Seal of Vengeance come Wrath of the Lich King.

To comment on the boost thing I completely agree with you on every point you made. During the announcement of the boost to 58, I was so mad but then I remember about mage boosting and how much effect that had on classic WoW leveling. My causal friends were so demotivated to keep playing by level 40 cause they couldn't get a dungeon group going for 2-4 hours cause of the boosters. I think people boosting other people is really bad for the game since it probably has a lot of relation with rmt (real money trading) and it doesn't promote legit dungeon groups neither. But the same thing is gonna happen with paladins in TBC they are gonna be the new boosters and I hope the 58 boosts will at least combat that method of making gold.

Dual Spec is fine as long as it's basically a second template you can unlock at your trainer. Saving bars, exact talents, etc. But it shouldn't be the WotLK kind of you can swap out your character for another role inbetween pulls, that would require most people to effectively play two roles.

The issue as I see it about buying the 1 time per account lvl 58 boost may even help botters. Why? Now bots don't even need to level from 1-58 when getting a new account. And also getting dungeon blue starting gear, which should help their farming even more. Cause most hunter bots got crap gear, cause they don't need much gear. Too often I heared the 3 classic ppl during blizzcon talking about "convenient, easy for all, everything for everyone" etc. That's *exactly* the mentality and thinking that led to Retail gameplay in the first place. Retail did not happen over night but thoughts like this led to it. *TL-DR addition* The purpose of "no-changes" has always been about so nothing crazy happens. I am a one of the NC ppl but I don't mind paladins get the "seal of blood" and some other things. But the lvl 58 boost *must go* imho. Mmo (especially oldschool ones) are all about taking time, invest in your toon etc. Not pay2skip! Being able to play Belfs/Draeneis during the pre patch has 2 ways. It does feel nice being able too, but that could also mean even more stress on the servers as ALL will be in Outlands then. Atleast in Classic launch, ppl started in different safe zones. Now when the portal opens, everyone (or most) will be there due to the pre-patch playing up the 2 new races. We all remember the launch, especilly here on the EU. Disconnects and 6-9h queues for 3-4 weeks. Remember that was with ppl spread out in the 2 big continents.

I like how they realize that having power gains between factions is a problem for tbc (seals), but Shadowmeld is still unchanged and Covenants still exist. Though the latter is a more scaled down version of that, being not able to swap covenants was the original design intention. Also, Mechagnome racial still is 30-40 dps ahead of the second best one

They have changed plenty already, I think dual spec would be a good utility to add-in. Most of the appeal of Classic was the server population being a known quantity. I personally do think that dual spec would be a good thing, the tbc private server I played on had it and it was absolutely amazing. Not having to respec just to be able to do a couple arena matches greatly lowers the barrier to entry. In addition to the pvp benefits, it also improves the player experience for healers a lot. I remember back in TBC while playing a healer, doing dailies sucked so much more for me than for other people who were playing dps specs.

Classic will still be there, essentially! Leveling alts will still have all of that content, and raids can still be done on classic or even BC servers. BC is basically Classic with more stuff to do at the end-game

Isn't the point of hybrid classes that you can actually play two different playstyles in one build? But I'm talking from a feral point of view, maybe paladins or shamans aren't as flexible. But personally I have had a good time tanking, dpsing and in some cases healing with the same spec throughout classic. Wouldn't dual-spec make EVERY class sort of a hybrid class? Warriors can dps and deep prot, priests can go shadow and holy. Of course, dps classes would still only switch between different flavours of dps. In any case, what I am personally liking about hybrid classes (druid, specifically) is that you can carry around gear sets for any role you might be required for, and fulfill that role at least decently outside of raids. Dual-spec might "cheapen" that hybrid experience, you aren't really 90% one thing and 10% the other thing, but instead 100% both at the same time, you know what I mean?

In regards to sylvannas There’s a massive fundamental difference between “she’s been helping you all along” and “She became uncomfortable with anduin being forced to serve” Also sylvannas has not been “out for herself” she’s been serving the Jailer since her first suicide , when she impaled herself on icecrown, THATS when she met the Jailer, and began her arch . From my point of view, sylvannas has never actually outright taken over anyone’s free will - Arthas did that to her, and that’s why she hated him so much .. The Jailer stripped Anduins free will, and it’s not that far fetched to think that Sylvannas might have a problem with her boss doing that - she probably will realize that ultimately , it was the Jailer who was behind Arthas’ actions. To me - that is an INCREDIBLY well set up redemption arch . Anyone who says sylvannas’ story is stupid, needs to look at the bigger picture .

Seal of the Martyr is the name of the alliance Seal of Blood equivalent they are adding mister gold! Seal of Vengeance was the alliance only seal and they are just renaming blood for alliance for lore purposes. Edit: it was added to alliance paladins in early Wrath before both blood and martyr were taken away from both in 3.2 but will now be available in TBC classic for alliance paladins.

Seal of Vengeance was the Alliance seal, it was a bit better for paladin tanks. Seal of Martyr was the Alliance version of Seal of Blood that was added in Wrath of the Lichking.

Chances are they will have to use Sharding for the Draenei and Blood Elf starting zones. Blood elves are the most popular Horde race so with the paladins also comming to the Horde you can just go and imagine how many people will start leveling Blood Elves (myself included) onve they release

Ive played on BC servers that offered dualspec, its always been a nice thing, definitely makes the PVP scene more alive when raiders can just swap really quick, now that might not be the case anyway cuz if gold is gonna be inflated anyway the respec cost isnt as harmful aswell.

Fury warrior was very much not middle of the road in T6. During Execute windows, they were right there at the top, not counting the 5 destruction warlocks ofcourse XD. I think Blizzard can take the "some changes" idea a bit further. Adding a few new mechanics to bosses or entire dungeons or raids can really go a long way to give people the feel of the game being more flavourful. I played TBC for over 7 years on private servers, I can say it with absolute certainty that any raid open at launch will be cleared in the same day of world first guilds hitting level 70. They've rehearsed this a million times, and honestly, private servers often tweaked numbers to be higher or had gamebreaking bugs that made fights more difficult than classic. I'm pretty confident TBC will be just as easy as Vanilla for everyone. However, introducing new mechanics to all the bosses can really bring that sense of wonder that people had doing TBC dungeons and raids back in the day. If that's the feeling they're trying to emulate, that's what ought to be done. Some changes. Primarily ones that make people have to step back and change their PvE scripts because things are nothing like they were 14 years ago.

The debate between dual spec and not, I think maybe a decent compromise would be being able to respec for free. You'd still have to go to a city, and fill out your whole trees so it might deter people from doing it every 5 seconds. But you also wouldn't be poor or feel bad about changing specs for fun whenever you're bored.

I worry that Seal of Blood/Seal of Vengeance weaving is going to be a thing for Rets in the same way Totem Twisting is a thing for Shaman (mostly Enhance, but Resto too at times). I don't know how the mana would work out for that, but it worries me that it will ruin the Ret playstyle having to juggle both.

Dual spec will enable people like me who didn't pvp in classic because of the gold barrier, to actually do some pvping. There's nothing prohibiting people changing specs in tbc with addons and whatnot fast, so making it accessible for everyone seems fair. Besides, hybrid specs can do more healing / tanking in dungeons where the demand usually is higher than supply.

16:17 Also, a not insignificant group of people have been playing on private vanilla/TBC/Wrath servers. We've already done the leveling experience. Once you've done it ten times, you don't get anything from it anymore. It's a grind in there for no real reward, and is just a necessary evil for playing the actual game. A boost to level 58 is the best model I've seen, cause it still gates raiding behind some playing of your class, so I think that's a good thing. Also, it's only one toon. You won't have a flood of lazy players who just instant-level their characters.
