I'm late to the party on this video. However I only watch you here. As I don't watch twitch. I am a wow player over the years, not actively now, I'll probably put 6 months in for TBC, however I find the most value you delivery is in your non wow conversations. I believe one of your best qualities is the ability to resonate with the wow player demographic, but talk about things in a way everyone relates. Another quality is that you put yourself out there in a real way, which is hard to do. But it brings the level of respect and commitment to seeing what you have to say even more. I average less than 2 hours of youtube that I watch per week and yet, can't miss your videos. My time is very in demand with business, but your perspective of the world is worth setting it all aside, and I think to myself, I'm gonna take this 25 minute break and relax with this dude.

Because he is used to taking the easy way always. Don’t get me wrong, I love this guy and his content. But I see how unhealthy he is and I just want to help him. Good man. If she passes he will know he was always there for her no matter what society or anybody thought. He will for sure have tons of good friends to fall back on and who will help him get back up. He lives his life with no regret. I don't believe he lives everything the easy way. If he'd want to live the easy way, he'd just spend a small portion of his money on materialistic things, but he doesn't. He could hire literally anyone to do everything for him/his parents but he doesnt, he does it himself. He could just keep streaming the same things over and over again to make money but he doesn't. He takes a break, risking to lose viewers, just so he can produce better content to entertain us and make our lives better. He doesn't just disappear and phase, he gives us a rundown of how he feels and his plans, while he could have just taken a break and left it at that. Personally my ideal Asmon stream is: 1. Doing "things" on wow meanwhile mby talking about current topics regarding gaming/wow and also even news, things that happens arround the world. 2. Watching a video, could be gaming related, or recent news etc. (with opinions and thougts regarding it) this is my personal favourite section! 3. Doing the "main" thing in wow (RBG/Transmog comp/raid/arena etc.) also doing this with some friends is adding a new aspect to the stream, which is awesome. Ive been a viewer since 2016 and I really think you have done a superb job with "evolving" your stream Zack. Personally I dont find the Dark Souls/Demon Souls/Rust streams as entertaining as WoW, but thats perfectly fine, I am a supporter anyways. Just as the fact (that you are mentioning in the video) that there are people that dont even follow/watching you cause of WoW stream/content, which shows what a sucessful streamer you are! I cant see anything negative regarding diversifying your stream with games like Valheim and any other games that are popular and attractive. Especially with Mcconnell :) Lastly, you are doing so much for the community and people in general Zack, more than you know of. How you handle things when people are saying things that are meant in a negative or disparage way (being a nerd, living at home, playing games all day etc.) is something that has really really inspired me. How you tackle these types of things with just being yourself and standing up for your opinions is something that I admire. Never change Zack, you are helping so many people/viewers out there. Let me add this in.. you probably won't be pulling $100k a week or whatever crazy number you were probably pulling at your peak but... like... you have a great future as an entertainer because of your personality. You've said it before man, you don't need to end up with like stupid amounts of money to be happy. As someone who is just beginning to make streaming content, I appreciate you sharing information regarding your personal experience with it. I don't watch streamers either, so this is my intro to you, and I just wanna say thanks. Burn out hits. It sucks and I more than understand how people to some degree could have an effect on your mood by way of negative chat interactions. I think you might have luck developing a show of some sort, with a shifting structure if you're worried about what would be "variety content," is becoming either stale or predictable. But your life is more important than any would-be commitment to an audience. Take care of yourself. Think about what you deserve, guy, and don't be so hard on yourself when you do. I relate to the escapism. I relate to your fears of streaming culture turning to more industry-developed celebrity and losing the sense of community and hospitality to more superficial things. Cool to meet ya. I look forward to more. Thanks again, man.

Good to hear from you. I think a lot of people -- at least people I know -- have been feeling similarly. Kind of feeling like you're on auto-pilot, not really doing new things, even playing games out of habit more than enjoyment. For myself, I've decided to take a break from gaming, maybe get back into reading, at least for a couple of months. I've thought about trying to stream or start up some kind of gaming podcast once I feel "recharged" a bit. It definitely sounds like the break has been good for you, and whatever you decide to do, I hope it's for YOU, not just "the viewers". Who knows; I've noticed a lot of KZbin creators lately have started collaborating on projects a lot more, maybe that's something twitch streamers might follow suit? Make an appearance on some gaming shows or podcasts, maybe some streamers could get together for some "streaming events", that could be kind of cool. Either way, glad to hear you're doing well, and look forward to seeing whatever you do!

@@Masterofchodes a lot of people that doesn't watch him or who only saw some out of context clips often use Asmon as an example of toxic streamers. As long as you’re having fun, I’m having fun, it really is that simple imo. So look after yourself, do what you want and the rest should take care of itself. Just take care man, hope to see you back at it soon as you’re ready. Just a little addition, not every stream will be balls to the wall, spicy sausage. Some, if not most will be average, but that’s what enables the great streams to stand out. You have to come to terms with that and accept it, otherwise the average streams will start to play on your mind and you’ll be back here again.

This is an “old” video in the grand scheme of things however I think it’s very important and I can feel the emotion in Zacks voice. Personally I switch between wanting to be out with my friends and be social and wanting to be alone and wanting everyone to leave me alone on a relatively quick “cycle”. I’ve come to conclude that this works for me as long as I tell my friends I want to be alone for a while and they understand that because I’ve been open and honest about it, because they are good friends when I do want to go out and meet them I don’t get treated differently and it’s cool. In a strange way when I want to be alone I watch Zack, not because he’s my irl friend but he allows me to have an insight to other peoples frame of mind. When Zack does these videos I think personally he’s not really trying to speak to people he’s actually just releasing what he’s feeling and thinking and it’s not for our reactions it’s just great that he is arguably speaking to himself in the medium of speaking to others so you can be a fly on the wall into not just him but yourself also. If you listen to what he says and you agree with him I recommend you echo this and record yourself arguably speaking to yourself then the next day watch yourself back. I do it, at first it seems weird but honestly you learn a lot about yourself when you hear yourself back talking about yourself because releasing what you think in your mind verbally then listening to it back allows you to learn a lot about yourself.

The thing that helped me was doing mindfulness and learn to let thoughts just be, and NOT to repetitive overthinking. (Define yourselfe with some "disorder" or bs) Anxity is something u DONT overcomer but something u learn to handle and live with. What i think most ppl dont understand is that u get anxious cuz u care about things, for me personaly i had to step away from playing WAY to much games. And learn to do stuff and not over think them. I still get anxious but i havent had a panic attack in 6months. What helped me alot was going to the gym, cuz that is something i LOVED but let go.

100% mate. i stream a few days a week and I am a full-time streamer (different username) People have no idea how stressful it is to be on cam and be in a position where you are center focus! It's really taxing, I too have to take time out from doing something I really love and I cherish the opportunity to make a life doing what I love! Like Zack has said here, as soon as it becomes just a daily chore it becomes harder to put on the face, it's massively important to take time out and reconnect with yourself and what it is that excites you with what you do. It's not like a normal job where you have set functions you can just autopilot through. You have to be on the ball and unique and in some way friends with as many people who are in your chat. even tho you know nothing of any of them and they know all your micro characteristics and personality traits. (ok when you have 40k+ things change a lot, you have even less connection with the people in chat)
