Some tips: 1. Dont pick flowers, they dont regrow and are a good source of butterflies (food) 2. Creepy hand things can be destroyed by running towards the arm where it comes out the darkness 3. You can upgrade spider dens with silk, offering bonus protection or more spiders to kill themselves with 4. Build a alchemy engine as soon as possible, provides many more recipes 5. Simon can be upgraded with gears so he can potentially go up to 400 health (i think)

The benefits of the sanity gain is greatly out weighed by the food of the butterfly wings and the food that can be made using the crockpot. Also there are many alternative methods of gaining sanity. Sanity doesn't kill, hunger does, and low sanity can be used for nightmare fuel farming.

@Yamareto but that resource is very limited, better to find other ways. Just making a new recipe/item restores sanity. And over time, the food/health from butterflies GREATLY overshadows the insignificant sanity gain from picking them.

You can pick up items and do other stuff like that by holding space. And I mean HOLD space, not tap it Simon. Just saying so you don't crash on the moon or something...

Step on the creepy hands that reach for your fire to make them retreat. Going to the swamp will make any perishables you have in your inventory rot very quickly.

This is amazing. The amount of terror generated by the shadow hand stealing the fire amused the heck out of me. I've seen it so many time I had no idea anyone playing this game wouldn't know what it was. Wow, Simon is actually exactly my brother: hates spiders and sets fires to forests (only in video games, especially Minecraft). Well played.

So I've just realized something that makes this channel so magical... Tom (and sometimes company (lately Simon and sometimes Lydia, whom I absolutely love for their senses of humour, as well as their chemistry with said Tom)) often make references and allusions to whatever might be floating around the zeitgeist, and the editor (I'm not sure who edits these, but you're brilliant) searches out and brilliantly edits in the most hilariously obscure iteration of said meme at the time.

- Actually no, pigs don't get upset if you hammer their houses. - Night hands appear when your sanity is below a certain percentage. You can simply chase them away with a light in your hand to make them disappear.

If you press F you attack the nearest target, if you HOLD space it will automatically harvest and gather the closest things to you. Also make sure you guys prepare for the next season, get a razor and shave the befall and during winter collect tons of ice in refrigerators.

In summer and winter do not stay in the camp when the dogs come, as the red hounds in Summer set fire to things and the blue ones in Winter will freeze you. :'D try to find something to kite dogs into when there are many, Beefalos, frogs or Spider nests are useful for this.

*PSA* DO NOT PICK THE FLOWERS FOR SANITY!! Yes, it restores your sanity. However, flowers also spawn Butterflies, which can be caught with a butterfly net and planted to get more flowers (weird, I know), or eaten to regain health.

Hey got a tips for you! Try pressning space, the guys will automaticly pick upp stuff on The groung near them. There is a other button to, cant remebber wich one. But pressng it will have the guy go to nearest thing and use the item you are holding on it. I used it for shopping wood for example. Much easier to play when you use those Keys.
