I’m all for Burning Man being for all ages but I really don’t get the costume-thing over a certain age. Burning man is filthy and hot. Sweat and white playa stuck to you feels gross and there is always limited water for showers and cleaning. Pretty Barbie’s seem to think it’s just a reason to dress sexy and see and be seen. Now that we all know what happened at BM this week, with the rain and mud, I gotta ask, was all the effort, time, and expense worth it for weekenders?

Just saw it flooded and is now a giant mud pit. They’re not letting people in or out in vehicles. Chris Rock and Diplo the Dj walked 5 miles out. Per the local news there but not seeing much coverage. Can’t imagine what it must be like. Praying for you guys.

You two have so much fun together. You always have a smile on your face and are laughing too. The bike will be so much fun and great exercise. Although not cool looking, you might consider helmets. We had an old friend who bicycled all the time & she hit a hole or some object, went over the handlebars head first, ending up with a head injury with a significant brain injury resulting in no brain activity. She was disconnected from life support and died. Bicycling seems like such an easy, fun way to get around or exercise. But like riding horses, you never know when some weird thing can cause serious consequences. Be careful but continue to have fun too.
