In my humble opinion Spear was right up there with Bob Marley in live shows with socially conscious lyrics , and a band that brought it live every time. Finally, I was at this show and it was one of the best live performances I ever been too and the kicker was it was free ! 😊😊😊 M

Much respect to Bob Marley, no doubt a legend- but for me, i'm all about Burning Spear & the original Black Uhuru. B.U. just had that sinister, hard edge about them. Those live concerts from the early 80's are unmatched in my opinion. Sly, Robbie & Darryl Thompson on lead guitar was 🔥🔥🔥. Check out Shine Eye Gal live in Essen, Germany 1981....
