You may want to take some small translucent zip ties and put 2 or 3 per section of LED in case the adhesive ever fails and it would be invisible from a distance

I’d do this with wood instead to make it easier to mount to ceiling and lighter

If you perform other welding services with the same quality as welding this frame with LEDs, I would never let you do anything. The idea itself is not bad.

It would be so cool if you covered the wall in black velvet or painted it with one of those ultra-black paints. (They are about the same darkness)

When you need to use a machine that's way over priced to cut plywood. Then make something that way over priced and heavy to put up. Much easier and lighter ways to do this.

I wonder if you could do the same with some black/painted pvc and LED strips
@Hellsong89 Жыл бұрын
@@sydneyp.2320 Long as its rigid enough to support the weight anything is fine for it. Cut peaces of metal or plastic to mount on the back from sheet material and you can screw it from the wood peaces as well, making it really cheap and quick specially if you have access to laser cutter.
@BoraHorzaGobuchul Жыл бұрын
@@sydneyp.2320 you could. But led strips like to be cool and it's kinda hard to do it without metal. If steel is not your thing you could use aluminium

@@sFeral The entire frame of the Quadra, off the top of my head. And that's a lot worse than a visage problem, it's a structural problem.
@sFeral2 жыл бұрын
obviously not as bad as you think if he managed to move this structure around without it bending out of shape at the welds or falling apart entirely, but then again I don't weld, I'm just pretty sure he wouldn't go through all this only to get an unsafe final product.
@jakefoley95392 жыл бұрын
@@sFeral If it sounds like we're going out of our way to bash the guy, I assure you we're not. I'm in awe of his creativity and fabrication ability, but his shortcomings with welding, specifically surface prep, are something that have been consistently been pointed out by multiple people since the Quadra series first began. I certainly hope it doesn't result in any long term issues, but in the event that it does, we already know the cause.
