Hey why don't you try adding diffuser strip to it so that the led doesn't reflect on the acrylic. I did the same but used a Pico as the controller, Well I am impressed by your technique

I don't know the point of ordering those hexagonal mirrors if you are going to cover them anyway, you can just use the acrylic sheet or cardboard as well
