First video of yours I've watched. Impressive. As someone who is just a beginner at 70, I especially appreciate you being thorough in your explanation. When you're new to something, a person just doesn't know the obvious stuff a more experienced person does & it is very easy to get yourself overwhelmed by the 'What about this.. what about that.." questions. You explained every aspect of burnishing, thoroughly, then demonstrated it. Thanks... I'm going to have to build one. I have a mini, mini, lathe I added rigidity & torque to, but it just wouldn't be able to do this do to lack of rigidity between the ways & carriage. (It has a composite gib; need to make some bronze, but my milling skills are lacking, (for now ). I need a scissor type burnisher, like the scissor knurler I have. It works like a champ on my little lathe. Gone on long enough, thanks... gonna go see some of your other vids & see what I can learn from ya. GeoD

George -- Excellent Comments . When exchanging Ideas -- it goes like this . You speak - I listen then I speak - you listen . Meaningful results can be accomplished. Today people only speak - nobody listens . George - when you speak - " I Listen " Thank you for your comments . --- Jim

Jim, I saw a video not long ago about a homemade burnishing tool and was thinking about making one. It had 5 different parts and a threaded cap that held everything together. It's a little more complicated to build. Yours looks much easier and faster to build. Let me know what you decide to do. Doug

There is a indian youtuber that demonstrates two versions of this and how to make one. I made one in about ten minutes, works well. Only a lazy person would buy one because It's easy to make. I purchased a box of bearings and googled machine vise bearing ideas. This is just one of the ideas that popped up including quadrangle pivoting vise adapter.

Francisco -- Ten Minutes - It took me a lot longer than that . Using a box of random size bearings ??? Not every will do that .The quality must be questionable . Consider me a lazy person. I don't make anything that I can buy. Unless the pricing is ridiculous . Thank you for your opinion . -- Jim

@@TangentJim Well, if not, maybe you can just sell a set of drawings and some basic guidance on how to make one for say, $10 per set :) Seems like all the components and materials can be sourced from McMaster but still it would be nice to have some drawings and dimensions. Just a thought.
