Burnout 3 and Revenge were way ahead of their time, absolutely masterpieces, shameful that EA put Criterion to be a supporter on BF, Criterion deserves WAY MORE THAN THAT

I've tried this challenge last year in december. I still got the results here on how much i lost, listed below the "read more" Following cars lost during Nuzlocke: No cars during the Compact chapter -Assassin Muscle. Got 6th in Eliminator (don't ask) -Custom Muscle. Totalled while failing to earn gold in MP road rage -Tuned Muscle. Lost the face-off with Modified -Muscle Type 1. Same as Tuned 4 cars during the Muscle chapter -Assassin Coupe. Got 2nd in AE race -Tuned Coupe. Lost the face-off with Dominator -Dominator Coupe. Got 3rd in the Eliminator -Coupe Type 3. Also got 3rd again in Eliminator -Custom Coupe (damn game crashed because of reading error) 5 cars during the Coupe chapter -Sports Type 1. Lost the face-off with Modified -Sports DX. Same as Type 1 -Modified Sports. Ran out of time & didn't get gold on the CD road rage 3 cars lost during the Sport chapter -Super DX. Totalled and failed to get gold in the GC road rage -Super Type 3. Got 2nd in the IP race -Assassin Super. Totalled & failed to get gold in DS road rage 2 -Custom Super. Same as DS road rage 2 except i didnt total -Tuned Super. Totalled and got silver on DS road rage 1 (these road rage events are a pain in the ass im not joking) -Modified Super. Got 2nd in the TD race 2 -Super Type 2. Totalled in, you guessed it. DS road rage 2 7 cars lost during the Super chapter This was an all gold world tour any% seeing how much i could beat and i did. All events gold where it matters (except time trials)

​​@@JRC99i dont remember quite but i think i got the home wrecker specific takedown and wanted to get that out of the way. That or another achievement for the 4 cups. This was at the time where i was also doing my annual 100% so i lied about the any% part :p

That's the one thing that I really enjoyed about older racing games. It allowed me to discover a lot of artists that I really like and shaped my taste in music somewhat. Burnout and Need for Speed were the big ones and why the newer Need for Speed music doesn't hit for me. I like rock and techno playing as a blast through the streets

Man this is probably the game that got me the most "WTF? They don't like money?" moments, to this day the game is one of the best racing games ever made, probably the most fun one, and looks decent, a remake of this off on Steam? Free money.

Can't use it if you have a soft modded PS2 through opl unless you go through the frustration of making virtual memory cards since the game fails to read memory cards if run through opl for some odd reason unsure why plus I prefer the Xbox version looks and plays much better in my opinion also Joshscorcher called this game stupidly awesome and I agree he also made a Allstate joke: "where will you be when a crazy driver sends himself flying into traffic and then explodes multiple times? Allstate are you in good hands? In the world of Burnout 3: Takedown probably not..."

Also, I like how there are checkpoints in the middle of the track now, takes me back to Burnout 1 & 2 when it used to have time limit to go from one checkpoint to another like in Thrill Drive.

Burnout 3 Takedown should get the same backwards compatible treatment Burnout: Revenge and OG Burnout: Paradise got as well as a bunch of other EA Racers like the blackbox games from Underground and onwards

I feel like these Burnout games are very fun and arcady but I loved Burnout Paradise because of the Freedom when doing stuff. Seeing more of the old games I understand why people like the closed circuits. Makes me wish Paradise had added circuits and a more custumizable multiplayer job maker the game would be more favorable to Burnout players.

Older games had more passion, more excitement. Ironically, I found Paradise to be one of the most tedious and boring in the series. If it wasn't open world, it might be their worst game after Dominator. Bikes DLC was stupid, and Big Island was a waste of time as nobody even played the game anymore by the time it came out. Don't get me wrong I played hundreds or hours and got the carbon cars but the game just doesn't have the loving care the earlier ones did. 3: Takedown is easily the best game in the series. The best mix between the first two games, and the insanity that follows with Revenge. Revenge is also badass, but also the hardest and most gritty. Definitely not a light hearted game like the first 3.

Technically burnouts spirit lives on with the crash and drift systems in modern nfs games. Even though those systems are annoying, which to me is why the way the og most wanted is the best game especially the handling and not crashing out every five freaking seconds.

Burnout is fine as it's own franchise. But Criterion absolutely ruined NFS and it's crippled body hasn't been able to heal since 2010. Paradise is an awesome game, but nobody wanted Most Wanted 2012 to be Paradise 2, but shittier in every way. But they have licensed cars!! Who cares??

I'd kill for Burnout 1 and 2 Nuzlocke challenge sometime. For Burnout 1, if you fail to qualify in a certain position of a GP or get defeated in a face-off, that car is lost, and since there's only 9 cars available, you need to be smart about your choices. For Burnout 2, if you fail to win a GP or a face-off in championship mode, that car is lost (excluding pursuit modes as you are stuck with a Cop Car only).

I think about Burnout all the Time, especially Burnout 3 as it was one of my first real Gaming Experiences that i can remember, but at this Point in Life i dont really mind that there might never be another Burnout. As Gaming as a whole stands today, i wouldnt trust EA to make something that would do good for the Name. Sure, we get a new NFS all the Time, but, atleast personally, all the recent or recent-ish Titles have been mid at best, the last one i can excuse was NFS 2015.
