Wow this video is perfect for me, and posted at a perfect time for me too! 😄 I found animal jam (play wild) in around 2018 whilst looking for animal games to play on my iPad. For about 3 years from that point, I became absolutely obsessed with the game, and completely addicted to it. I would play every day for so many hours, there just was so much to do. Try to beat all the minigames, get saphires, chat with friends, decorate animals and dens, trade and try to get rares and learn everything about the game! After 3 years of playing non stop for most of the day everyday however, animal jam just started becoming… boring. I had completed all the minigames fully by that point (apart from gembreaker because I got bored at level 62) and because of my membership I didn’t need to try and earn saphires, there’s only so long I can spend decorating and I had quite a few rares (not many for how long I played tbh but I wasn’t that interested in trading I guess). So it happened quite gradually like you said in the video, I didn’t just decide that I’m going to quit, it just happened naturally. I slowly played less and less because there wasn’t much reason to log on every day anymore and after not long I had stopped playing altogether. Then after 2 years of not playing at all, I saw the app on my iPad and I thought. Oh gosh I haven’t played in so long, I wonder how it’s doing, I guess I’ll log on. A lot has changed since 2 years ago 😂 the rarity system has changed and there’s all these DNA vials and stuff that I have no clue about 😅 I play animal jam now again, but it’s not the same as it used to be. It’s not as fun as when I played before I basically only play for nostalgia and I’m kind of considering quitting again, I think I might play it occasionally but the golden days of animal jam are gone for me (the times when all the old animals were coming out like otters 🦦 and every design was much better, and it was still the old logo with the gecko and ladybug) I’ll never stop loving animal jam ❤ it’s more than a game, it made me who I am today and made many peoples lives happier including mine. I quit in 2020 and didn’t come back until 2021 I just got bored and sick of the toxic players. Surprised I didn’t quit permanently I love the game, it just got boring after awhile

I experienced burnout in my classic days, back then I didn’t know why I was getting so tired of it. I haven’t had much burn out feelings for animal jam nowadays since I take 7 hours or more to have time for other things. Thanks for bringing up this topic, it would have helped so much back then!

i havent played ajpw in months, mostly because my den inventory is completely full. (i am obsessed with den decorating and outfit making) so if i can’t get new items without recycling other items i use, it started to wear me down. also the fact that play wild doesn’t visually interest me as much as ajc does. that pushed me to go play classic again for the same reason i played ajpw. your video goes over everything i and many others have been thinking! all your points are spot on! thanks so much for putting it into words!

I remember my burnout. No music, left my Bose Comfort Quiet in its case for a month, walked out around aimlessly looking at tje sky and admiring it until I met Spunky my miniature husky and my life changed. Though I now play Animal Jam on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 for daily rewards. So convenient. xp

I'm currently experiencing burn out with animal jam, I'm a lot older than most of the player base of the game, I don't have much time for grinding or trading alot because of my real life responsibilities. Now I mostly just log on once a week for nostalgia's sake and for the daily spin, sometimes to list my items on the shop explorer. I wish I could still enjoy animal jam the same way I was able to in 7th grade, at the peak of my animal jam days, trading for hours on end or grinding in the phantom dimension for potions. Maybe one day I'll have more time for it. Until then, I hope the targeted audience enjoy it just as much as I did back then.

i joined in (i think) 2018 and played everyday, i wasn't rare nor did i know what rare items where and i honestly just loved roleplaying. I'd rejoined in my old account in 2021 and played for a while and even sold some of my items that where now considered "rare" but after a few months after my account got hacked somehow, i didn't have many buddies and i wasn't even that rare, but AJHQ did absolutely nothing so I quit and swore to never touch that game again, though i ended up rejoined a few months ago in late September, and I now have all the dream items that i'd always wanted when i played back then.

As some one who is in to the game a lot and can play non stop , I must say I have experienced a few burn outs. I have not played animal jam classic in a while because last time I did it burnt me out a lot ( because of the lack of updates ) and because of the end of flash too. I play animal jam mobile a lot more now days but some times I too get bored on that game.

I used to play animal jam in the past like everyday eventually I just slowly stopped playing for a year due to burnout I just got bored of animal jam and a lot of my AJ friends just stopped being active so I didn't have much to do but I eventually came back :D

i haven't played aj in a year and a half. at first, i just deleted the app because i had to focus on school. but then i lost my account and i couldn't get it back because my email was deleted😭 now i've come back on a new account and i'm slowly learning all of this new content but i feel so upset sometimes that i don't have all of the cool stuff and dens from my old account, especially because my account was made during the aj classic rewards in 2020. it is hard to get back in when you know that all of the stuff you had worked on is just out of reach. like it's there but i cant do anything about it :(

I get this every 4 months or 3, it’s really tiring with adhd and autism since it was my hyperfixation for years when I was younger, and now. Art and talking to people and trading and making dens and making outfits never seems fun enough anymore or feeling like I can do that. I used to make pretty dens and now my brain makes it difficult too. I used to make avatars I would get Attached to and draw but now I struggle even logging in. Let alone make art. I Need content very occasionally for my adhd to get more attached to the game for a short amount of time, or when it suddenly becomes a huge special interest (which shockingly my aj special interest has been able to last 4 years before) 2023 may-june is especially a really strange month. I see people feeling the exact same as me including two of my friends and countless others (sorry for long comment )

I started playing animal jam play wild around 2016 and I was obsessed too bahahah but then I quit for a while after I got scammed (nothing serious I just got upset) and came back after like a year and a half! And now I’m obsessed again bahaha

Im going through a burnout rn cuz everytime I go on aj I look at my bud list and if none of my buds r on I would just get off, I'm not a big trading person cuz I'm broke .,. And I like the art system but on my other tablet it doesn't work and I usually use that tablet then this tablet I'm using right now., I also don't like how they make aj boring like there's not rlly interesting animals, pets, dens ect. And I did all the games and got most of the animals and dens. I'm picky with the things I do like, I don't like trading, roleplays, buying things from others shop and I don't like getting saps cuz it's rlly hard to get em. I'm also broke like fr I only have 100 saps so it's hard to buy good items for 100 saps, I also owe my bud like 50 saps aswell. I also did most of the easy/medium missions, I can't do all the missions cuz like the phantom mission I did all of em accept the one were u have to get to shiver mountain or whatever its called I cant even get past coral canyons. And I still think about Aj rn cuz Im a aj tuber so it's hard to keep my mind off aj.nalso yes this comment is 100 Miles long.

Hello! so i don't comment on the videos you make but i really enjoy watching them! Anyway so i was one of the victims of the data breach and i got burnout for a long time probably like a month. I decided to join in again and of course i was hacked which i already knew since i already logged on. I think i joined the game in 2018/2017 i believe? i actually downloaded animal jam on new years day ( right at ll:59 P.m.) Anyways i started working up again and i am where i am now but i got LOTS of burnouts. My first burnout was when i was so frustrated I made so much progress on my new account i was bored i actually got my first ever friend on Ajpw but i was gone for a while they thought i quit which was kind of sad. I'm not actually gonna say the rest of my burnouts since most were actually really disturbing/private plus this comment would be very long. Anyways bye! - Your new subscriber Milk Carton

Nice video! I currently also fond myself playing less and less ajpw and a lil bit more ajc, tho the reason I started being more and more offline was because I spent all my sapphires on adoption tokens (wich seemed to be a good way to earn more saphires), tho didn't really get anything worth the 2k i spent... Trading, buying and selling are one of my favourite activities in the game as i wanna get my dream outfit but currently I'm broke so ajpw is just a game that I can use to get membership for ajc without paying actual money. Despite the fact that I'm qlmost sbout to quit ajpw, I'm also at the edge of quitting ajc as I don't have the motivation to find out all the prices for certain items like shirt and long spiked collars or such qwq okay xeah so I'm basically broke in ajpw and barely have sapphires for my next month of membership left and I also only come to ajc to get all the diamonds in case I'd like to crosstrade with somebody for ajpw

I have 2 hours a day i still play aj but I will get to moments where I will do my daily things and I will get bored and just want to get off but then I don't. And what u said about how animal jam Is like making different versions of animals I believe there are looking at for example the raccoon files and then changing it up a bit bc they are currently focusing on making new bundles that people can pay for bc they are going broke and me and some non member friends get mad about how they are adding so many more features for members only and one of my friends quit bc she said aj isn't going to add anything else to do its getting boring and quit and aj Is losing the community bc they aren't focusing on keeping the community they are focusing on makeing money like I would have quit if I didn't have so many awesome friends that are there for me
