Originally telecast live on October 11, 1951. 28:24- This was indeed the first episode to be seen "live" across the United States [it was seen at 5pm Pacific Time/8pm Eastern], as the coaxial cable was finally in place to telecast TV shows "coast-to-coast". Kinescopes were still produced for stations that couldn't schedule the series "live".
