Hi. I have similar height and weight to you and same foot size I think. 177cm, 75kg, us 9.5. I have a 161 barracuda that ive ridden a lot in japan. Would you recommend a hometown hero over the barracuda. And if you were me would you choose the 156 or the 160. I love your clips. Super smooth riding. Im coming to japan in middle of march so my wife can visit her family, so not sure how much powder I will get. Was thinking about my barracuda or buying a HH or bringing my 156 hovercraft split. Thanks for you thoughts if you are able to comment. Thanks Chris.

@@chrisbohm4305 Hi, thanks for watching and comment. I would choose the comfort of 161 barracuda. The HT Hero is invincible, so you can ride with confidence in any situation, but the Barracuda's surfy ride feeling is superior when powder and groom. I don't know what the conditions will be like in mid-March, but I think you can enjoy Japan's snow with Barracuda unless it's an ice burn. Have a good snowboarding!

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I agree. Have a great winter. A friend who lives in Otari said it was snowing yesterday. Chris.

I'm using Photon. [First Impressions] The strap holds it firmly, so there was no problem even with a hard line. It was so natural that I completely forgot that I was using Step-On while riding. Great for daily snowboarding. [Impressions one year later] The difficult thing about Photon Step-On was how to ride with deeply bent knees like Japanese snow surf style. If anything, I think it's more of a standing and freestyle ride. I wear the laces loose when riding relaxed. I would like to try what it would look like with ruler and swath.
