Dave, thanks for taking us along to the sale. The main line equipment on this sale looks to be in good condition, just a bit old school farming. Those big Case tractors and combine were really cheap. We have a 2594 and it likely isn't worth a bunch. The main drawbacks with them for me is the powershift trans is short lived and difficult to work on. The hydraulic pumps are expensive to rebuild, but so are the big Deere. And the AC is impossible to keep in working condition. But the biggest issue was the fact that any genuine Case techs are non existent. Any heavy repairs have to be done by myself, that or just throw money at it by the local shops that don't have a clue, and still have to fix it myself!

I've noticed that those combines and tractors from the 1970's-1980's regardless of make or model just don't bring anywhere near what they did 2-3 years ago. Thanks for bringing us along Crazy D. This was one of the most interesting auctions you've taken us to in awhile.

I have to agree. 3 or 4 yes ago they were bringing premium prices at auction. I'm guessing people just don't have the cash anymore to pay such high prices.

I pulled an identical CASE 5 bottom plow with a 930 CK or 1175 every summer for 15 years (Anthony KS). Wish I could find a bargain like that here in Oklahoma!

Did you go to ellinwood Kansas auction? Be kind of curious because the tractors there overall weren't near as nice as these tractors. I did not go. I just cannot work in the drive time. But there is a few tractors there I was interested in. But I only bought one for personal use. I see these prices and I was kind of curious about how they compared to the prices of lesser condition tractors. Maybe the weather had something to do with it as well.
