from the time i found your coil on plug setup i had been asking myself if this was possible and how to do it. Days later, BAM Burton Racing video on it. Thanks!

I just ordered an ecu from you guys! If I'm happy with it I'll definitely be sending it back for this kit install. Looks awesome

Any recommendations on aftermarket Distributors that work well with this? My OEM one went out, went to a Duralast one which works fine but it doesn't fit the block off plates. Apparently some have issues. I tried another brand and couldn't even get Spark.

Ok so question, obd2b does not need the rpm wire, but what if i have an obd2 to obd1 conversion? Do I now have to use that or is is it still ok to not use it?

NEED HELP HERE!🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼I have the Burton racing copk on a obd2 distributor and I have and issue where my RPM tach stop working. In the beginning it will come and go once in a while and then it stop working completely. So I have change clusters to see if it was that but it does it with whatever cluster I switch too, RPM tach won’t work. What could it be?

Im confused. Dont we need the 2pin plug for the COP kit to work? In the COP video it shows how you de-pin the 2 wire plug to get the power which is black and yellow wire and the RPM wire which is the solid blue wire signals. Can you guys clear that up?
@And1dc23 жыл бұрын
Yea this needs to be cleared up it doesn't make any sense
@allentownrep3 жыл бұрын
@@And1dc2 I emailed them about it. You're getting the power and RPM signal from the actual harness side. What he is removing is from the distributor side.
@And1dc23 жыл бұрын
Yea I just figured that out a little bit after watching the video haha it's actually pretty cool the way it all works

looks like it will work with obd2B? small plug is the same but no rpm wire

I like the step by step, I recently did mine and had an issue with the roll pin that keeps the hall effect in place and it actually flew off causing a no spark symptom, ended up using a spacer and cotter pin just to ensure it stays in place, have you guys ever seen something like this happen?

It's low on the list of "will buy" parts, but I absolutely need this. Heli-coil to fix where the exhaust manifold stud got drilled out of the head just a _little_ too deep......

How can you cut the blue wire you called it the speed reference, and still get RPM??

Another “how to” vid using an obd2b distributor would be greatly appreciated. I purchased my br cop system about a year but all supporting info is for obd1 systems.

Does the ICM have to be removed for the COP to work correctly? I removed the coil but not ICM.

Will it work on a broken dis?
@BurtonRacing5 жыл бұрын
Depends whats broken. Many components are housed inside.
@duanedonaldson22623 жыл бұрын
If the body case is not broken, all you need is another junk dizzy to cannibalize parts from, the internals are the same if the clocking on the outside is different just be sure its the same type.

Where did you put the two wire that come with coil plug
@BurtonRacing5 жыл бұрын
That connects to the engine harness. Please watch our COP video for step by step.
@JEKFROOT5 жыл бұрын
So,basically for this to work just connect the ICM wire (yellow/green) & the speedo wire (blue) on the engine harness. Correct?
@wernwerks8195 жыл бұрын
On the engine harness you will connect the wires of the distributors 2 pin plug to the COP harness. On mine I depinned the distributors old 2 pin plug and repinned the Burton harness into it. The blue wire is the RPM signal to the cluster, the other is your switched ignition power to power the coils.
