This is so beautiful congratulations!! I was adopted as a baby and didn’t know much about my biological parents whom are interracial. (American black and white). Crazy thing is I’ve always felt this inner deep connection with African culture, specifically East African (Eritrea/Ethiopia). I even learned to speak Tigrinya and nobody understood how I was able to pick up the language as well as I did. Well come to find out my biological mother is Burundian and my father is African American. Up until a few weeks ago I’d never even heard of the country. Now I’m trying to learn everything about it…me…my people, my culture, my history EVERYTHING! My whole life I’ve always felt different like I never quite fit, there was always something missing about me and now I finally found the piece! ❤️ Hopefully I can one day visit my home country!! 🇧🇮❤️
