Camo @2k by hand has been amazing for me when the lanes get squirrelly late in blocks…great matchup of core and cover.

My old INK was a 9-pin machine (1H righty), and my Camo was a 7-pin machine (2h lefty)... yeah LR isn't the only person to switch hands... lol. Could never really get either ball to carry consistently for me. The RIP looks like more of the same. The MM on the other hand looks better to my eye. A bit earlier, and a slower response to friction.
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Yeah I've definitely gravitated more towards the MM so far. The RIP just lopes a little too much, it never seems to get rolling so it's a little too late or a little too early. I probably need to stop polishing stuff, or just polish it for the review and then remove it, but the MM looks great with the polish.

What type of surface would you first the RIP with?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 9 ай бұрын
I think it looks best with some surface, it's deceptively clean. Obviously I was expecting clean, but it still seems to continue to go a couple feet longer than I'm expecting it to, so surface will beef it up a little bit and make it more readable and consistent.

Looking to add this or pick up a cheap Camo. Would there be any appreciable difference between fresh versions of them? Thanks!

Not really, I'd just go ahead and grab one of these unless you can find a Camo for cheaper.

Looks like the RIP would be more of a complement than replacement for the PBR?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Oh definitely, RIP is an easy full step down from a PBR, maybe even a step and a half. The PBR is still a fair amount stronger than the Hyped Solid too.

Great video 👌🏽💯💯 liking my Phaze 2 but it’s too early for me as slower two hander.. The hustle looks a lot better for me as a benchmark, what do you think? I like this ball with my Hy-Road Hybrid
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Yeah if you take the shine off, this would be a great two hander benchmark I think.

Hello, Luke! If compare with venom shock ho it be?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 5 ай бұрын
The Shock is quite a bit earlier rolling and definitely a handful of boards stronger. Rip is a definite step down from the Shock

I am looking to get either the M&M or RIP, but need your advice. The the lanes at house I bowl at are high friction, which one would be a better choice.
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
The RIP is the cleaner one, it's easier down the lane and a little weaker than the MM, so I'd probably go RIP
@drakedbz

Is the RIP stronger than the Hyroad Pearl? Great review, I need to pull out my Hyped Solid again, it's been too long.
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Nah, it's got both a weaker core and cover than the Hyroad Pearl. Somewhat similar shape though, and not QUITE a full step down, but definitely a strong half step at least.
@kobek5272

How does it compare to the burner pearl?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Similar zone, they're pretty well on top of each other with just minor shape differences. Think the Burner might be a smidge earlier though.

How does it compare to the USA?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
USA is quite a bit earlier and smoother, a few boards stronger as well. The RIP is not necessarily a ball down from the USA, more like a half ball down, but fits well as a shape compliment.

Would this fit in a 2 or 3 ball bag with the Night Road. Lefty tweener in higher friction house.
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely, with a little surface this would be a perfect straight step down from the Night because it shapes similarly. It's a little too clean with polish period though

2-hander here, I have mine drilled with a weaker layout to emphasize the control factor. My first 3 games out of the box were on a burnt up league pattern: that fresh ball surface was just digging in and I was striking often anywhere I stood. It looked best in what I’d call the “3rd arrow” zone, for me. Second use was at a different center that I’m not used to on a random weekday on mystery soup conditions. For the first game I had to play way outside and was throwing a line you’d typically see a pitch black do on a PBA show, which it managed to strike from very well. After about a game I’d worn down a new path and could start walking back inside, but by bit, and eventually wound up in the 3rd arrow zone again. As long as I got it outside the ~5 board it would come back from anywhere. Really looking forward to having this as a smooth piece in my bag.
@met4lb4ze
@met4lb4ze Жыл бұрын
Adding this to my bag as I needed a weaker piece and I’m a two hander as well. What layout did you go with? I was pretty keen on a 2 inch pin to pap so as to not create too much responsiveness on the back end and maintain more of that “arch” type shape. Got a tournament coming up on wood lanes and I’m very unfamiliar with that lane surface, so I figured this might do well.

@@met4lb4ze I don’t remember the exact numbers, but the pin ended up right above the center of the fingers.
