Been there, done that, ( four children ) home school, sewing, knitting, gardening, My home looked lived in, sometimes the children were bare foot and dirty. Sometimes things were not put away, but there was laughter, full days of making memories. Each of them are talented, successful, wonderful people and still enjoy many doing things they did growing up. It’s about working and playing together and teaching which both of you are wonderfully adept at doing. For those whose partners, homeschool, it is like working two full time jobs simultaneously, especially if there are several grades involved. Truly, I’ve taught in privates schools, and done many other jobs but home schooling was the hardest but most rewarding I experienced. It was worth it. Kudos to you Meg and Ben❗️❣️😊

If you are needing more cardboard, visit all the little privately owned stores/ service stations and ask for their cardboard. It saves them from having to dispose of it. Dollar General stores might be a good source also as they are absolutely everywhere. Just an idea.

I laid cardboard where I was having massive weeds and new growth from acorns which I wasn’t happy about. Perfect results!!!! Less work for me. Enjoyed my summer. Win win. On a off the wall memory. I bought my middle son a beautiful shirt. Thought he’d be so handsome with the color. Forgot about it. Got called to school. He came into the office with what was left of his new shirt over another shirt. He laid my new shirt on the ground and watered it. Turned it over and watered everything. Worms gave him a beautiful pattern. So he layered his shirts to show it off. He was not in trouble exactly at school because I had to prove his body and hair and clothes were clean. End of story. I however, never bought NEW things for him. Fast forward. He is awesome..🤣

The longer you cook a hot pepper, the more spiciness you lose. Thus, cook shorter times and then if you can it, use hot water bath, but use vinegar to preserve it. For really hot sauce, ferment it in brine and then use a blender to turn it into sauce. No heating it that way. I just did up my fermented peppers today and it is crazy good. I am at F1 in my new hot pepper project and so far It is right on schedule. In regards to that cardboard, where I live the voles will live under it during the winter and then eat the roots of the plant as they do so. I even use poison bait stations. Now, I just rot the cardboard sandwiched between chicken poop in a pile. Interesting to learn about the nitrogen fixing trees. I knew about other plants, but not trees. I am always mowing over our Black Locust volunteers. Hmmm? I'll dig one up tomorrow to look for the nodules. Those hot pockets look good! Must be wonderful for an easy lunch out in the field as well. One other point; if you live in the north country, standard trees do better than dwarfs. Just head them back to size as they grow. The roots systems are more competitive and the trees will be hardier. If you irrigate with nutrients, then the dwarfs will be fine. Somehow, I don't think irrigating trees is in your plans, but I am new to your channel. All the best!

Can cows eat clover and is there only one type of clover they can tolerate? There are three kinds
@rofireskyte69312 жыл бұрын
@@susanlee9532 yes cows can eat clover. Crimson clover is a heavy nitrogen plant the other clovers aren’t as high. But what goes really well with crimson clover is corn. Which is an amazing silage material for fodder.
@ajb.8222 жыл бұрын
@@susanlee9532 I just know that one has to be careful letting them out on clover-rich grass, at least in spring /when young and lush, as they can get sick from it. I don't recall if that's the same thing as Grass tetany or if it's more like foundering ( like if they get into the corn). I should know these things, I dairy farmed with my folks until my 30s, but my dad didn't teach well, even answer questions well ( and a we were super busy and had other issues, things were often very stressful, not a good time to talk etc. ) and all I ever knew was to make sure they were loaded up on dry hay before going out on new, springtime pastures. But I recall that a high clover amount made that more crucial.

Thinking about finding a home in the lower 48 and maybe getting a cow but definitely chickens and a rooster. I’m trying to learn what I can about animals I may have.
