I really hope people start using cassettes again. I have entirely too much anxiety using all my old tapes, cuz I’m afraid of them breaking or loosing fidelity over time, but I still wanna use them.

Let's bring back all audio tape formats: cassettes, 8-track, reel to reel etc. Let the analog revolution begin. 🎉If vinyl records can make a comeback why can't magnetic audio tape? Analog sound is more pleasing to the ears than digital. Digital is good but there is something special about that analog sound that everyone is drawn to and loves❤.😮

cassettes have already come back. it's getting more and more common for even bigger acts to release their albums on tape :) it's like the poor man's vinyl

Cassettes durability is honestly not talked about enough when it comes to the novelty of the format. As long as you have a decent deck, your tapes will last a life time. You don't have to worry about warping or disc rot or scratches.

Not all tapes. Some cheaper made tapes literally disintegrate just with the passing of time. The iron material on the tape flakes off.

As long as that's a disposable deck , I'd throw in some dirty ,as found cassettes in it too. That's a good way to wreck the heads , on a deck.

Im no scientist so im not ENTIRELY sure, but heres my logic. Casettes are magnetic and snow doesnt really mess with magnets, so it makes sense the tape is fine.
