Youall need a decent kreg jig that clamps. 3/4 inch maple veneer plywood and you can frame/build 95% of everything in that bus and paint or stain it. Like the wheel wells. Rip ply, pocket screw together and pocket screw to floor.

Great job Wayne! 👏👍💪 I always get better wood/supplies at HD over Lowes 😆 but it really depends where you live and the supply chain for wood. PS- whys Eric wanna sleep in there by Christmas??? There's way too much work to be done in that back with electrical, plumbing etc 🤦♂️ Tell him to sleep in the front of the bus 😆

The build is looking good Wayne. I watch Eric's video's too. Your right about Home Depot wood. You would think by now they would have stepped up to a better supplier as it's been this way for over 20 years IMHO. Now we all know how Eric likes to climb on the roof of his RV's. Have you considered utilizing one of the roof hatches for access to an observation deck. Just saying having an inside doorway would save having to climb a ladder... You guys have fun and keep the videos flowing!

Show Eric how to pick out clean lumber. Why did he piece the horizontal line under each window instead of one long piece to be supported by the lower uprights? That’s a mistake IMO.

With the amount of flexing and pivoting given the length and structural design of busses, I have to wonder how much of these seams and joints are going to survive over the years.

@rvprepperwayne glad you took thermal expansion, flexing, anchoring and gaps in mind. Metal and wood expand at different rates and will place stress on screws that aren't grommeted.

@@rvprepperwayne Wayne, Most all R/V'S have a door emergency exit toward the back of the rig. I sure wouldn't count on getting thru a small window to save my life. I know it's Eric's bus, but I would advise him to keep one of the emergency door exit's. The bus is looking good.

I enjoy watching you guys and you’re somewhat lack of carpentry skills. I just am waiting for when it gets done and Eric starts driving down the road and twisting that praying back-and-forth that he might find out that two screws on the ceiling to hold the wood I don’t think we’ll be enough. It would be better off to let a professional do the walls and he do something else. That is my two cents.
