That first double decker you got on at 05:07 is ex Dublin Bus. There's even an old sign inside, just above where thre luggage storage area is. They were introduced new around 1990. There's a chance that it was imported into thre UK by Ensign Bus of Purfleet, Essex and sold on. Alexander bodies on Leyland Olympian's, I stand to be corrected.

Lovely explore. I think this is the scrap yard for parts for the Manchester Bus and transport museum to get true manchester buses working for the museum. I know council dont own it, its private owned. Those there wont have any engines and many will be missing wheels etc. They will use all the same vehicles from across the Uk for inner parts for the Manchester ones. The museum is a good place to go. Im glad I have found an explorer from my era where it was 32p... do you remember the little square yellow tickets? Smoking un busses at the back behind perspex haha. Another great job guys. I reckon these buses have been/are being stripped for reusable parts, e.g. engines, gearboxes and other mainly mechanical components. There is a lot of GRP and glass used in the bodies so the scrap value of these probably isn't that great. What remains is left rotting away until someone eventually decides to dispose of them. The double decker at ~9.00-11.00 with the funky brown seats could be a 1980s/early 1990s Leyland Olympian. Not certain, but it looks like one. These were popular buses back in the day and I think the last bus model built by Leyland. Cheers again.
