Bus lane enforcement expanding in NYC

The MTA is expanding its bus lane enforcement in New York City, the agency announced Monday. New cameras that take photos of double-parked cars and cars blocking bus lanes will be installed throughout the city.

Nyc wants to issue tickets for people driving in the bus lanes but won’t send violent repeat criminals to jail. Why is that?

Politicians are getting fat off these cameras, whether red light, speed cameras, or bus lane, and breathing cameras lol There's no way anyone should be supporting this when the city is purposely squeezing lanes from 5 to 2 and taking up legit parking spots for citi bike and outdoor dinning. And putting islands in the middle of the street and daylighting and purposely forcing drivers to make wider turns because pedestrians like to cross the street staring at their phones which in turn slows down the turning lane and allowing maybe two vehicles to make that turn instead of seven. The city is a joke. They even have noise cameras now. When is enough enough? Oh, that's right. It will never be enough

No busses are allowed in car lanes and there are a variety of reasons they would need to.

Raise the fare. Double it. Then fine the ones that dont pay. Motorist are the ones that keep the trains and busses moving. Not the measly $2.90 fare.

@@colbymaxheidke7607 The motorist that pay property tax, income tax, bridge and tunnel tolls, gasoline tax and motor oil tax. All of these taxes are used to support and subsidise the MTA. You dont really think $2.90 pays for your trip do you?
