For the 2011 model year they changed the design and they give it exposed plastic hinges for some reason.

They actually are metal but extremely thin, I kid you not I saw a C2 with it’s DEF cap open I tried to close it but it refused to close until it actually fell apart and I managed to put it back together and that fixed it completely.
