When I was in kindergarten I needed a smock for painting. all the other kids had their dad's old shirts. My mother took me to a tailor and had made for me a tartan plaid smock with a Peter Pan collar. It's been a life long love and passion of mine. You are so right about chosing our own basic hues. I used to love black and wear a lot of it, but I eventually realized it washes me out - I look really sick if I wear black anywhere near my face. So I still get black bottoms, but when it comes to tops I switched to navy, and it was a game changer (and I found out I look great in navy, a color I had avoided before!).

Omg this video was for me today. I have been spending weeks trying on everything from my wardrobe as I never know what to wear and decided to let things go! I have a lot clothes from my teens and some before pregnancy that I will never get to that size again. But this week I decided to let it go. I realised in the past I invested in cheap essentials and also didn’t buy new ones thinking about my new shape and life style. Now the job is to find out what do I like and feel confident on it as you said is personal as spending time on Pinterest don’t bring me the same vibe as people has different shapes and personalities. I love the caveat of 'you also need to love it.' I've spent the last few years collecting basics so I always have the thing to wear 'under' or 'with', and it's possible to find basics that also reflect my personal style. But I do have to say, when I have found a piece that I totally love and is totally 'me,' there is a magic at work such that it works with much of my closet and find ways to wear it all the time, even if it is 'beyond basic.'

GGDB sneakers are awesome. Last weekend I crazily volunteered to take on a 10 hour long Bridal & Prom Consignment pop-up by myself and my feet didn't suffer at all, my hair style was a totally different situation though, lol. Also, my favourite white jeans are my Levi's 501 but it took a bit of trial and error to get it right. I also size up an inch for white jeans.

I never thought of different ways to wear a scarf. I didn’t know one purse you don’t have to have 6 purses like I do and today I learned I can get rid of all my huge Chunky jewelry and keep my gold bracelets and trash or give away my big rings and keep them a nice size for my hands. I’d keep 3 or 4 pair of earrings and get rid of my rediculois bid ear rings. Your right we don’t need a whole lot of jewlery. Dainty you said is the best silver and gold.❤

The mussel shorts that can walk on their own that’s what we call in PR quita y pon sounds like kiti-pon translation ( take it off put it back on ) lol This will be my new staple from here in out every one week vacation I pack for a month and do the quita y pon deal ! You and I have very different styles yet I always get something out of your videos that I can implement. I'm a bit older than you and I love wearing black with different textures mixed with color here and there - no white for me! I'm pale so no white. Washes me out and I'm grubby so it will get dirty in five seconds. I love second hand clothes but since I moved to a smaller town, it's harder. Have you produced a video concentrating on online shopping only? I would find that very helpful. Thank you Erin. You're a huge help and you get to the point. Love it!

My summer wardrobe basics...stack of V-neck T-shirts, various colors/ stack of mid thigh shorts/ Nikes/few pairs sandals...one 'good' , the rest kinda beat up. Couple sweatshirts, a windbreaker. My purse?...a cross body made from tough 'windbreaker material. I can run it thru the washer n it comes out looking brand new. It's hot here, and we all even dress this way at the local night club. If u don't. , weknow you're from out of town!
