Buses at Hanley Bus Station - 16/11/2024

Moving one big town north from Stafford in our last episode, this week I visited Hanley Bus Station in Stoke-on-Trent. I knew I had to come spotting here pretty soon, so that I could snap the numerous fleet changes for D&G Bus, First and also Stanton's as well. My main priority for this visit was the brand new Evoras for the 9 between Newcastle and Biddulph, which look fantastic of course!

brilliant bus spotting in Hanley i did Hanley twice before & its great for bus spotting i def need a revisit when i visit the North or even the Midlands again & im loving those evoras & if you havent been on one yet i recommend having a ride on one as they are nice to ride even on a rural route

I've done three now. Had one of the Arriva ones in Liverpool on the 53 which was when I truly started to love them. Then I've done a Bee Network one for a bit, and I rode one of the Nines ones seen here into Hanley before filming this

Scraggs still operate the 5 Hanley to abbey hulton but they only operate Monday to Friday

Lucy the 11 goes via Beverley drive and the 11B goss via dawlish drive the 11B finishes earlier and the 11 continues until 11pm these services are paid for by the council they operate an additional 3 services

Although there are exceptions like the 9, route branding seems to be going out of fashion now, with NXWM recently debranding most of their Platinum MMC E400s at Birmingham Central.

seems to feel sometimes like first are pulling out of the uk in alot of places, i used to always like seeing them wheni lived in bolton as a kid, we got the most basic Arriva buses possible on my home route, come to blackpool, see our enviro 400s, 200s and stagecoaches utterly meaningless bus allocation for the 68 and 61
