The Mercedes Vario / Beaver 2 is with Desi Coaches and is a regular on rail replacement services for the St Albans Abbey line. It's a very late build, new in 2009 (its 51 reg later applied so it appears to spell 'Desi') and certainly now a rare type. Main issue with the bus station is that it's not quite wide enough for longer buses to swing round when others are at stops. Add to that 258s now standing in the middle instead of in Woodford Road, and Arriva using it as more of a base during the day now the remaining Watford routes (except 321) are run by Hemel garage, and it can quickly become congested. The old layout in use until the 2000s may have had more locations where pedestrians had to cross but at least nothing had to effectively do a 720 degree loop when heading away from the town centre. Good to see a video from my local area, and happy new year (even though I'm a few days late)!

Glad you just caught a 724 at the end. One of my favourite routes. Used to enjoy riding it in Green Line days all the way from Harlow to Windsor (718 Harlow to Windsor through the middle of London was even better, but that went years ago). Happy new year Peter.

Peter-the shuttle buses used to travel to and from Leavesden on the Harry Potter service are numbered E030-033 and are numbered between the NXWM examples. Hope all is well.

Just to let you know, there were changes to the bus routes across Watford and Hemel. They no longer operate routes 8 and 320 anymore. The new route 20 now runs between Hemel Hempstead and Watford (started since April 2022), Route 321 extended to Rickmansworth from Watford to cover the rest of the section of the route 320 and the 508 which covers the 8 section.

@@BristolRE Okay, that's something I've never seen in the Netherlands. They use normal buses, even for the ones that go to small villages. Otherwise they use a local bus, which is usually driven with an 8-person van.

@@gameguild1555 Two door buses have never been common here, other than in cities and some larger towns. As I say, these days even rarer outside London than what they used to be. 8-person van (we'd call that a minibus, seating varies up to about 12 I'd say), but these are also not that common.
