Hope you have better luck with that magnetic stuff than I’ve had in the past. Keep the polish up to your paintwork and if it rains or is a dewy morning remove and dry it and the car before refitting it. When water gets behind it and then dries out on a hot day it can stain your paintwork and sometime causes the magnetic material to stick to the paint. I’ve never used it since the first lot of magnetic signs I had done back in the 90’s and went back to using stick on vinyl signage. I liked the idea of being able to remove the signage when not at work but it ended up ruining my paintwork. I’d be more inclined to use a paint protection film or do a partial vinyl wrap if I wanted signage and paint protection. Be interesting to see how it goes over the next 12 months or so.

Thanks for your input mate, I don't plan to leave it on full time but all good points for sure. The other guys with it seem happy too, fortunately if it hurts the paint Im planning to wrap it in a couple of years time anyway. Cheers Steve

Good one bud 👍 I’ve got to get some for the little Zook, just got to convince the wife as it’s her car 😆. I’m thinking maybe laying it out in the sun for a couple of hours too pre-applying would probably help considering it’s been rolled up. Looks great - did you design it ? Thanks for sharing mate 👍👍

I like them, Im sure Bush barrier would do some for the zookeeper's mate. I designed them with their help and graphics back and forth via emails. Cheers Steve

Mudduck's 4wd Touring thanks mate. Do you mind me asking are they very expensive ? Don’t have to say how much but just curious if they’re reasonable or ‘holy crap !’ pricing 😄👍
@MudducksTouringAustralia4 жыл бұрын
@@4WheelingInNSW About $800 the the 200 Look ones might be cheaper.

Great idea. Would of been a lot easier and better than having my car covered in vinyl stickers for the fishing club. If they are like the magnetic signs from Vista Print just keep an eye on fine sand and dirt getting in behind them. If you're not keeping them on full time it should not be an issue though.
@MudducksTouringAustralia4 жыл бұрын
Mick I have seen them on other videos and they seem not to get crap behind them but I won't keep them on full-time anyway and I like keeping tabs on stuff like that. Cheers Steve

Hey Steve, been looking at these, noted in your later videos you don't seem to be using them? Was it just too much of a hassle putting them on and off or were there issues? i.e. sand/dirt getting under them?
@MudducksTouringAustralia Жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I still use them, just depends on what Im doing. I should have taken them on my trip in January to VNC and SA, but forgot lol. They can be a pain to put on and off sometimes, but I do still use them. Just gotta make sure they are clean on the side that sticks to your car and you take them off every few days. Hope this helps. Cheers Steve
@OffTheBeatenPathAus Жыл бұрын
@@MudducksTouringAustralia thx. So you can only leave them on a few days at a time?
@MudducksTouringAustralia Жыл бұрын
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus You can leave them for longer but they recommend you lift then reasonably often so the don't bond to a point where removal is difficult
