true, personally im not a fan of this version of glycerine, i think the woodstock 99 performance by gavin is great. gavin however is a huge inspiration for me, i saw an interview where he said he didnt get into any bands because of his voice not being the best but i love the imperfections in it, he aswell as gwen are true musicians and he is really inspiring me to sing myself while playing the guitar

On the release of this live show, they really cleaned it up. They balanced the vocals and really it sounds amazing. They even balanced in the audience screaming. Watching this is a bit lackluster, but who cares. Bush was one of my favs, and I also loved No Doubt back in the day. A fun time I’m sure for all in attendance!

If you ask me, the OG studio version is them separated but still in talking terms thus the girl playing the violin This performance is them trying to make it work but it ends up in a big fight and the lack of chemistry only adds to that and that's why it's more rock and roll as it goes in the end And the '99 Woodstock performance closes the circle, him alone, whimpering and being vulnerable at what had gone on, thus the lack of any other instrument and sometimes no guitar parts at all in some parts, remembering her and what it felt like to be together but him just being lost in the world even when he's in front of so many people. Hmmmm, just listened to this exact recording on Spotifty and it sounded really good. Good enough I wanted to see if there was a video, and sure enough this is it. Something... is up with the sound used in this video. Not sure it's actually coming from the soundboard. The levels are waaaaaay off (Gwen sounds much louder in the video), Gwen's mic isn't mixed in on time in the video so it sounds like she's late (she's not) and the overall quality is really low and tinny. What they were probably hearing on stage (and what you hear on Spotify and I guess anywhere else the recording is available) is a decent duet. What you've hearing in the video is likely coming from somewhere other than the soundboard. Don't get me wrong, it probably sounded like this to the live audience, but I don't think it's what they heard on stage or what you hear on the audio recording.
