The trouble with a bar accross the trailer between the springs, is it will be the first thing to say hello to that rock in the middle of the stream and it will be bent in no time. Not sure why you think this is a good idea that can be fixed in the field, this is just not a good idea at all. There is a reason most trailers have a trailing arm suspension.
