Nice vido. This reminds me when I wash a kid out in the woods cutting wood. We used to start a fire and have tea, homemade bread and cheese. Well with one difference we used gas to start it lol.

I will never get tired of watching you do the friction fire. You do it in a very direct entertaining way. I always have a laugh at how matter of fact you are! This one must have been kicking around for a while. Some of the comments are over 5 years old.

Excellent! Somehow I missed this one when it was published. Really impressive! If one keeps moving in winter, its amazing how little clothing is required. The bare hands however, that is amazing. I need gloves and mitts in those temperatures!

Nicely done, hobbexp. Without gloves I know it'd be a chore for me. Probably because I'm not used to it being so cold. What materials did you use? Was there ice in the wood? Did you have to wrestle with any ice melting (or moisture) in the bow drill set?
@hobbexp

thanks, you can see my hand hold in the video is just a piece of wood,

@hobbexp
@hobbexp 15 жыл бұрын
yeah that is not so cold, but as I said at the end of the videos it was-17c later in the day, and the videos is not about how cold it can be, its about my clothes and it is still easy to make a fire with the bowdrill even in the winter, we have very moist air here where in live, so its -10 feel Colder and -30 up north, I know it is sounds strange but thats how it is,
