Thankyou sooo much for this beautifully put together series of videos of your journey, helped me through a long period of illness (long Covid Fatigue syndrome) of which I'm just starting to recover,. I am a chap of 62, and have a son 23 who I have tried to spend as much time with as I could... We did all the den building, tree house making, go cart buggy making.... You name it! Refreshing to see you've kept that with your Pop! Keep up the good work... WELL DONE MATE!!!! Keepin' it Cosmic Si

Also, a lot of respect for your appreciation to nature. I am subscribed and will continue to watch. There are definitely bush craft elements to your shelter itself and like you said, practical things you did to make it better. Well done and thanks!

Been subscribed for months before I ran across the playlist. So glad you filmed it all. It was a blast going on the adventure with you. Oh, and you asked to know which video made me find your channel? This will get you laughing: it was the steak and mental health challenge one, and Bush Radical tagged you and said some nice things about how you do things. That was the first video I saw. Hi Mike, thanks for the upload of your Bushcraft Camp. I found out about your channel by luck, really, and it was the " Winter Solo overnighter in a heated Tent" video where you showed us the G-Stove (which I ordered last week as well, so, thank you for the discount) I have been going out into the woods for several years now with overnighting and cooking. Last summer I spend 7 days in the woods sleeping in my hammock but I didn't know that there's something like "bushcraft" and I've been doing things how I thought would be best for me which was fine but watching your videos I learned a few new tricks that will definitely improve my adventures :) so a big thank you to you, keep up the good work and stay safe! Cheers from Luxembourg

Radiant energy waves penetrate clear plastic well enough to add some thermal efficiency as well as to restrict convective thermal loss. Your greatest opportunity to retain heat would be to use a Reflectix-type of bright-coated material to seal the walls away from the fire. You and Carlisle 195 demonstrate the energy and ingenuity to turn wilderness into relative comfort...again and again. All hobbyists grow and experiment and that adds the exceptional content to your channels. One of my most played of your bushcraft camp episodes features the fire crane. I keep hoping that you will reinstall and reuse it. It was a handy piece of equipment and it gives me pleasure every time I revisit the episode.

Mike, If you have some 5 gallon buckets, I suggest you place them in and around your camp to collect rain water. You mentioned making the main shelter more weatherproof. Since you don't have clay, just use mud. Dirt plus water makes mud. Use the collected rain water, make the mud and apply it to the walls. IT doesn't have to be thick, just solid to weatherproof. Also, if you want to make the inside more heat efficient to retain the heat from the fire, line it with aluminum foil. Just get the 18 inch wide rolls from a dollar store (or equivalent in your country) nd just staple it to the walls. I think the word you were looking for is thermodynamics. I am surprised you forgot to mention your "kitchen" build at the front of the camp over your original wall and then enclosing in hte bottom of the tower.

You say your structure is not survival, if SHTF and you need to house your family, (I know this is not SHTF channel but you gotta admit, it's leading up to it) this is a learning series that shows processes and ideas that may be useful in the future. If things get too bad, this may be how humanity restarts... then again, I may be getting carried away with the idea of the camp just as you got carried away building the thing. But you said the hunting tower is where your channel exploded and you got on the map. Apparently you gave the people (us) what they (we) wanted!

People need to buy up my "Impact" and "Dance of Death" James Grider novels on Amazon so I can accumulate money to move out of the desert into a wooded area like in the video. Otherwise there are almost no trees. What do you build a shelter out of? And we are getting brush fires set next to our house and have strong wind and they shut off power in case a power line blows over and starts a fire. I guess I might end up living in a shelter like that if I don't sell my books 200,000 times. What do I do in it? Read a book on the phone. But what to do when the phone's battery runs out.
