By using a shoe polish tin the triangle becomes a multi fuel stove. You can use the tin lid to burn gel or hexi. Take the base of the tin put some flat fibreglass wick round the inside, and some fibreglass rope inside that. You can now use the bioethanol liquid fuel as well. Just over half a fluid ounce will bring a cup of water to a boil in around 3 minutes.

I have a good collection of stoves as most of us do, and I by far prefer the trangia triangle to all my others. The only thing I think they should add to the triangle is a wire stand that sits across the 3 pot supports, enabling small pot/ cups to be able to sit on top of the stove. Easy enough to make a wire stand for it Atb Mike

Great stove the trangia triangle, I find a couple of cut down tent pegs across the top work well if you want to support smaller pots

We did try it on the last camp, and yes gel works in the trangia burner, but it doesn't bloom. Around the inside of a trangia is a wick to soak up the fuel but it's too thick to soak the gel. But it still works very good Paul

Had my trangia 25 for donkeys years & swear by it & this stove looks to be really good too but as I have the ultralite I probably won't get one anytime soon.....now that gel stove & gel on the other hand I'll defo be getting some of that if it fits the ultralite? The gel pot/holder is vastly overpriced. An empty kiwi shoe polish tin does exactly the same thing and its free! The lid sits/ pushes Into the trangia triangle very well and then the bottom sits in that.The gel itself is crap compared to fuel4 gel, which I think may now be discontinued.

Instead of all that oven hardware beneath your stove, why not try one of these www.toolstation.com/soldering-mat/p52046 ? Folds into the triangle bag & gives protection to the sharp edges. Unfold & use as a base, anywhere!
