Primitive Burn bowl for water collection. This is done by placing the hot charcoal on the wood and blowing until you get a fire. In this video I am using a blowpipe to keep a safe distance from the coals.
I will soon do a video on collecting water from the landscape as i find that very interesting and its an essential skill to learn and practice. I hope you're enjoying the few videos I have covered on this series.
Thank you so much for 70k, I really appreciate it! Take care and stay safe x

Nifty little trick, bet that made your head spine. I've been doing a 'Becky Binge Fest' on all your videos and I have to say that over the last 3 years your skill base and knowledge of outdoor living skills have truly grown. Great work, keep it up! 💯 I've also noticed a common theme with a lot of your videos which is yours, your sister and Harriets 💝 of Chocolate. LoL! ☯️

I grew up around Calgary, Canada close to where the Stoney Indians have their reserve. They were called "Stoney" as they used hot rocks to boil their meat. Unlike your wood bowls though they used raw-hide bowls to cook in. These were much lighter for travel. Thought you might like to try this as a unique survival experiment. I did a quick KZbin search and didn't find anyone showing this cooking in a raw-hide bowl.

hello Becky great Video as always but there was something that you forgot to mention about putting rocks in the fire and using them to boil the water. you need to use dry rocks not wet rocks if you put wet rocks in the fire there is a chance the rocks will explode, and you should never reuse the rocks that you used to boil the water by putting them back in the fire. take care :)

We have it pretty easy, we basically do not detect any of the virus stuff, except if we open TV and radio. It is the advantage of living in the countryside, we have forests, fields and the sea, and only contact with others if we visit them, I know it's a privileged we have like some of the few, as our neighbor says "it's not that bad yet" and he's right. 😉

You can make bowls like that by buying carving tools to do that with and it would be much better too. I do like the work you are putting into making your bowl and how it is looking and I hope you are using a filter to boil the water in and store before you use it for drinking or cleaning with.

Unless you regularly seal the wood water will seep into the rings and cause it to rot.
